tshape
Didn't get a ticket but will be trying again in the resale. First announcement isn't mind-blowing but there's still plenty good stuff on there and I missed out on seeing Lankum earlier this year so that would be a must see. End of the day it's Glastonbury and there is ALWAYS sumert to amuse or inspire you somewhere on site.

Is it not just because you were younger? Gene? Marion? Kula Shaker and Coolio? Also Shed bloody Seven and Reef 😁 Out of that I'd have liked to have seen - Bowie - Cocteau Twins - The Wildhearts - Frank Black - Flaming Lips - Stereolab - Leftfield (appartently the only album to play before buying a new stereo system..) and the Sex Pistols for a giggle

Objectively miles better. The Megadog stage on its own is better than the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. Dua fucking Lipa my arse! 😁

I'll leave you to Dodgy and Skunk Anansie 😁
gonzo
Ah is this another thread where @Not in Crawleytells everyone their taste in music is absolutely shit and all the weird and fucked up bands he's in to are really ace?

No, I said we'd politely disagree, doesn't mean anyone else has bad taste (I just know Kent doesn't like most of the bands listed) Plus I wasn't massively into the stuff Kent was on the Megadog stage at that point. All personal taste. On the flip side, Kent did say that objectively (not personally) that its a better line up, so if you want to point the finger and who is saying someone's taste is poor then maybe start looking there rather than the person whose music you don't massively like. Just sayin'
Not in Crawley
Unless of course you're a huge Dodgy fan, in which case I will go out on a limb and say they were one of the shittest bands ever to be shat forth onto the public.

Get a bit of Squid in yer life, or Thus Love or even the age old Fat Whites. Think I watch more bands now than I ever did when young, money and them always playing dead close and at smaller venues help. My current favourite songs of the year so far... bit of PJ for you as well...
Not in Crawley
Also you won't be surprised to learn I got a decent record player again for the first time in years so spaffing loads of money on vinyl like the annoying London centric music snob I am. Mind you, most of it it has gone on buying up QotSA back catalogue - and loads of second hand classical from dodgy record shops at Crystal Palace Market. I've been banned from going again until payday 😄

I quite like that but I can't make a word out when she is shouting.

To be fair they were just a hard-core band when they first started. This might be better as an intro....

It's pop music and every stage covers so many different types for all sorts. It should be for the young as well and even if you don't like Dua Lipa (which I actually do) she's still one of the biggest artists. Just not into older folk trying to be curators of what's popular or good.

Still interested how she's going to play Finsbury Park - I mean her latest album isn't exactly festival fuel. Also Big Thief who I love, last time I saw them they told the crowd to shush! Site Supporter Winchester White Posted March 14 Site Supporter Share Posted March 14 I think Dua Lipa is decent as is Paul Heaton and Paloma Faith plus Coldplay for a bit. I like Anne-Marie on The Other Stage but I think I am a bit old for the others, never heard of most.
