Dempsey gonna have to fight for his spot back at this rate?

He'll start on the bench for sure but with cups and busy Christmas period coming up, they'll all get plenty of minutes

League table looking very good this morning so we’ll done IE & the boys (casino I can be complimentary at times😀)

good thing now is we can go to Oxford & Portsmouth and get draws anything more fantastic, didn’t realised Charlton equalised until later on

Nothing game Tuesday so good little rest period until 25th, all good

We have Exeter at home before Oxford. Hopefully that’s another 3 points before the big two games.

I was meaning we can go away to the top 2 knowing we can get draws & frustrate them

Sorry he’s poor very poor

JDB did more in his first 10mins than he did all game but like many others will cruise along in this division as it’s a poor standard

He is a league 1 striker, no more, no less. He has done good things and gets fuck all credit, but as soon as he makes a mistake you, and others, jump on it. He is a main part of a great run, but obviously we would be better off without him.

JDB is a wonderful footballer,  who is more talented than Vic, however we have seen on numerous occasions how ineffective he is when he starts games.

Those two blokes 😂

Was sat pretty much where that was filmed

Def had a whiff of Clinton Baptiste with the introduction

She wasn't that bad but I'm sure she's had better livelier gigs than that

Er, you’re back on a Bolton forum now. No need for the patronising stuff about how good our opponents were. No shots on target says they weren’t that great. OK, they hit the post but didn’t we as well?
Oh, and for the record, at half time we bossed the possession stats 61% to 39%

True although unchallenged possession at the back isn't very impressive - and when we did try to play forward they won 77% of aerial challenges to our 23%, 20 odd tackles to our 4, treble the number of interceptions etc,

Saying they were compact and difficult to play through is not "patronising" - it's just stating fact. And the fact that they were well-organised, difficult to play against and created chances of their own only serves to put a shine on how well we did to beat them doesn't it? Or are you saying we weren't that good because all we did was beat a crap team and it might as well have been the blind school?

If they'd been crap and we won nobody would have given a shit, but they weren't - they were decent. Which makes our victory even better.

Bollocks

my stance on vic has been clear from day one and if anyone deserves credit I acknowledge it so it’s not a case of jumping on

Vic had a stinker yesterday but imo he has been playing well recently after a shocking start to the season (apart from the hatrick of tap ins)

You may have begrudgingly given some credit in the last couple of games but plenty without comment.  He had a bad game and instantly back to how shit he is. It is just really fucking boring.

What are we now, 5 out of 5? With Vic starting? Absolute shite

It’s like with kachunga he improved worked harder but the end product was still the same unfortunately

its not an issue now as goals are being contributed elsewhere & others have really stepped up but if we get promoted imagine him & Dan in the championship Jesus! for me silly length of contracts offered

Never thought i’d say this, but Katchunga was miles better than Vic.

Like I said others have stepped up, plus out if 5 no assists or goals I’d say the team is carrying him along

Vic being better doesn’t necessarily mean he’s had a good game. He’s just been better than his previous very Low bar.

for a player with his attributes he should be doing better. The ball doesn’t stick, he’s touch is erratic and overall he causes very little threat to the opposition. he’s had one chance of any note since his goal v Peterborough (10 games ago) and that was on Tuesday. A striker at any level with that influence on the game is right to be questioned

Bod showed in 10 minutes coming on what hold up and link up play as a front man is all about

granted he is also inconsistent but the last 2 games have shown glimpses of what he can bring so he’s moe surely deserving of a chance to start and the only way he’ll get “match fit” is by playing minutes

starting him and taking him off after an hour will improve our overall chances v’s him coming on for the last half an hour or so

There lad dived no yellow, maghoma yellow for same offence, Sheehan fouled 6 times no yellow, first foul from him a yellow… and the liner on east lower hadn’t a clue.

FWIW I thought Sheehan's was a yellow all day long, clear attempt to stop the player breaking without trying to win the ball (looked unnecessary as there was cover).

But agreed, they should have had more yellows compared to our very cheap ones for Maghoma and Baxter in particular - it was Wigan all over again in that respect, but unlike that game it didn't indirectly result in conceding early.

Whilst I don’t have any of the relevant stats from the games Vic has played, what if, hypothetically, he’d made the telling penultimate pass which allows another team-mate to provide the pass which results in a goal.

It’s a fairly modern thing this crediting players with the assist. Probably as a result of various prediction contests coming up with ways to award points to players.

I recall a goal (away at Barnsley, I think) where every single player touched the ball before it eventually hit the net. Every single one of those touches was pivotal in the goal being scored yet only the last pass gains credit.

My worst match of the season.

Absolutely fucking hate the fixture and just wish it would go away.

Theyve sold kicking on 3.5k

Their style of play suits us massively.

Can walk tall around the area for a few days now. I know one or two of ours who live round here were getting a bit of grief in run up, nicely silenced by GT's rocket

Baxter deserved his yellow, sent away the outfield player who was going to take the free kick, was told to get on with it by the ref who looked to be indicating he'd already told the Blackpool keeper, then Baxter walks away from the kick giving the ref no option but to book him.

Plenty of other off decisions from the ref but he got that one spot on.
