Bolton v Blackpool

My worst match of the season.

Absolutely fucking hate the fixture and just wish it would go away.

Theyve sold kicking on 3.5k

Their style of play suits us massively.

Yeah I agree with this completely. Yes we've got our style and gameplan that we want to implement on any team. However, like any football match, we have to adapt to what is being presented.

  • Fucking fantastic! I get the Bod for Vic debate. But not tonight!  Why on earth when we are on such a good run of form, 1 point off top, overcoming our derby record, getting 25k in L1,

Really big win yesterday.

the togetherness of the players when we score is just superb.

24000 in division 3 !

can’t believe we got so many booked and yet they rotated fouls on Sheehan all afternoon.

a goal fit to win any match.

loved it and drank the night away.

The police must’ve made the blackpool fans turn right from the ground and they’ve had to go the long way round.

Yeah I went out the hotel car park and there were barriers all along to try to stop the fans mixing so imagine they made any Blackpool fans who had parked on middlebrook go to the main road and then back along the narrow ginnel next to tesco that the Bolton fans all stream along... bright these police

Absolute joke.  Going to an away game at a big ground is hard enough for away fans, but police seem to make it worse by directing away fans to go as far out of their way as possible, its happened to us many times and its no fun.

Saw something yesterday i’ve never seen before at our stadium.

We left the ground at the crazy corner exit & walked up next to that steepish grass bank that leads up the road to what was Fort Sterling and there was loads of Blackpool fans coming in the opposite direction (towards the ground & heading towards the club shop)

They weren’t Uber youth looking for trouble, more like families & couples.

Most Whites fans heading that way were buzzing and some were in full voice/gloat mode, the Blackpool fans walking straight into us looked fuckin terrified.

Never once in over 25 years seen away fans heading in that direction after a game.

Could be a recipe for disaster if the wrong ‘uns ever did the same route.

So had they been to the game? It sounds like they're walking back to the ground..

Exactly.

Absolute madness.

If they continue to force away fans in that direction its going to go badly wrong one day

Some Blackpool were parked on the retail park so I assume just walking that way back to their cars

My bad! My fuckin' bad!

My mistake is what you are looking for.

Go easy mate. He just missed off 'breath', 'BO', 'knee', 'manners' or 'luck'. Easy typo to make.

Deserves a medal.

Plenty of them on the 'home' stadium car parks too.

Even weirder was about 20/25 maybe of their youth who were looking for trouble (to some degree) ended up walking up behind Vue chanting away merrily and then ended up going up that narrow path up the side of St Josephs. They started the old Sea,Sea,Seasiders stuff when they were totally boxed in, someone told them to shut the fuck up and they all turned around and slunk back down the path.

I'm not saying "my bad" isn't irksome,  it absolutely is. I have a mate who uses it a lot. He also uses kk instead of ok which really pisses me off,

Get-go is another one creeping into the lexicon. What's wrong with people? Ffs!

Don't forget "can I get"

Surprised that didn't show a chance they had shortly after that where a cross was swung in from their left and their player (Rhodes?) volleyed off target from only about 6 yards out.  Looked a good chance from where I was.

KK??  That makes absolutely no sense.  He's not even saving on any characters!

Is that just the use of bad grammar/English rather than being part of a passive invasion of our language?

There's a whole different thread opening up here.

I can only assume they wanted them to avoid our ESL lads?

To be fair, it happens at most of our away grounds too. If you aren’t parked on officially designated parking then you pretty much become a small group swimming against the tide.

Fortunately, we’re no longer in the 1970s and the amount of CCTV

Don't forget, not so long ago, that the club thought it would as a good idea to inconvenience home fans at the final whistle by doing the same thing.

If so, they completely cocked up, they were literally walking through our fans.

I could here them as i was crossing the road to get to the path, by the time I got there they were all just stood round looking at each other wondering where they should go. Made right tits of themselves.

When we have a family meal out, me & my wife are saying "please can I have" etc, then 1 after another all those mid 30s and below repeat the Can I Get mantra, by the end of it I want to apologise to the waiter/waitress for their lack of manners. Truth is it's all they know now, its here to stay, KK?

The only bantz me or my lads haven't been able to escape is how utterly shite and flat our support was till we scored.

Must admit they are right, it was strangely quiet and I'm still not sure why.

Probably due to the fact that every single person I spoke to during the week and before the game in fanzone were expecting us to crumble due to reasons well discussed on here as well. Anybody confident going into that game was definitely in the minority.

Made it all the sweeter though when that thunderbolt hit the back of the net.
