Bolton v Blackpool

My worst match of the season.

Absolutely fucking hate the fixture and just wish it would go away.

Theyve sold kicking on 3.5k

Their style of play suits us massively.

Yeah I agree with this completely. Yes we've got our style and gameplan that we want to implement on any team. However, like any football match, we have to adapt to what is being presented.

  • Fucking fantastic! I get the Bod for Vic debate. But not tonight!  Why on earth when we are on such a good run of form, 1 point off top, overcoming our derby record, getting 25k in L1,

No fucks given by BTP they just want folk off their patch, GMP however are fucking useless as we’ve seen many times

GMP we’re no better pre-match. Our train from Bolton arrived at Horwich at exactly the same time as the Airport train from Blackpool. All the kitted-up GMP were standing around their vans having a chit chat before they realised.

All for the sake of someone having the balls to hold either train at a signal until the other train had cleared.

Just looked at league tables on BBC where it shows the last 5 results, and the only 2 teams out of the 92 to have won their last 5 is us and Stockport.

Our next opponents Exeter have got 1 point from last 8 games as well as losing 3 cup ties all at home.

Gary Caldwell must be on borrowed time.

fell off quick Exeter, they won 4 out of 5 at the start of the season

the manager they lost last year to Rotherham, Taylor, looks like he's getting potted this week, might end up back there

Although Carlisle and Reading…

Saw something yesterday i’ve never seen before at our stadium.

We left the ground at the crazy corner exit & walked up next to that steepish grass bank that leads up the road to what was Fort Sterling and there was loads of Blackpool fans coming in the opposite direction (towards the ground & heading towards the club shop)

They weren’t Uber youth looking for trouble, more like families & couples.

Most Whites fans heading that way were buzzing and some were in full voice/gloat mode, the Blackpool fans walking straight into us looked fuckin terrified.

Never once in over 25 years seen away fans heading in that direction after a game.

Could be a recipe for disaster if the wrong ‘uns ever did the same route.

Given all the other lengths the club and GMP go to to prevent trouble, it confuses me why we never seem to keep away followings in the stadium after FT to allow home supporters to leave first

Yep, keep them back for 10-15 mins.

Taylor will go to Exeter, Warne will end up at Rotherham once Derby pot him, Ainsworth bound to be back at Wycombe once Bloomfield has gone!

... and Bobby Ewing comes out of the shower to find nothing has changed !

To keep away fans locked in until Bolton fans leave would mean a one hour delay as no fucker can get away quick from our ground

Every passing week makes those results/performances look worse.  I did think Carlisle were the worst side we'd played on the day, and that the defeat was totally down to us, but then we played Northampton and they were as bad.  Yet both teams worked our keeper far more than Blackpool did.  I think that means we've improved.

Yes I saw some Blackpool fans walking into thousands of us leaving, towards the club shop. 30 years ago I would have been singing into their faces (embarrassingly), I must be getting old because I just thought "hope they get through that lot safely, without incident".

Looking at the clip it looks like the bloke in the orange scarf has a jab at someone on the train, who then responded with a decent dig which put the bloke to sleep - legs crossed on the floor out cold.

Hope he’s Ok like, but if you go around throwing punches, there’s every chance that one day someone will respond with a better one.

That wasn't my point. The point is win lose or draw . You could be the one who lands the punch that ends someone's life and ruins your own and by default the lives of 2 families all for what ?. It is daft

I know the etymology of it. And that's where the problem lies. North American. US slang should stay in the US.

It's a pet hate of mine that winds me up more than it should. No offence.

It was very strange, esp as there was a significant police presence.

You do realise you’ve just typed that out loud? 😀

The police must’ve made the blackpool fans turn right from the ground and they’ve had to go the long way round.
