Can't afford to go behind early and crumble like our recent woeful derby efforts. Match them for intensity and we should be able to beat them.

Yeah I agree with this completely.

Yes we've got our style and gameplan that we want to implement on any team.

However, like any football match, we have to adapt to what is being presented. Solihull was completely different to Shrewsbury away and will also be a completely different proposition to Blackpool at home.

Evatt more than anyone knows about Blackpool and will be aware of our weaknesses to teams who come here and treat it like a cup final in front of their largest away followings of the season.

We simply have to raise our game and intensity. The Wigan game was already an impending doom once our players started pulling out of 50/50s and were trying to play it like a normal league 1 game at home.

We've also got to treat this like a cup final, and have that do or die mentality, cause when we have done that, we ended up beating League 1 champions Plymouth 4-0 at Wembley in front of 80,000

24,000 is nothing, bet let's use the pressure to our advantage and show Blackpool how good we can play and that we aren't a soft touch at this level anymore.

Let us be the ones the shock them with our intensity, pressure, technical ability, massive crowd and atmosphere.

Would really love a 'statement performance' on Saturday, all players bar Johnston fit I think and so must be a luxury selection day for mr evatt.  Just hope we start on a quick tempo and put them on the back foot.

Would rather not see Santos walking about with the ball in first 15 (I am now certain he models his game on vvd at lpool).

(Still have the mark Davies goal game in me head)   a repeat please fellas.

Isn’t Dempsey available; thought he was out for a few more weeks?

Demps a couple of weeks away, Jones looks like he needs a scan so would expect Forrester to start and Morley now has a swollen hip

Expecting same team as Tuesday with Forrester in for Jones.

Other option is Iredale coming in and Toal going to the right of the back 3 but can't see it somehow.

Hope we put a good performance in, due one in a local derby.

Agreed - Think he'll stick Forrester on the right of the 3.

Morley & Jones doubtful apparently and question marks over BOTH(!) JDC and Williams - One of them being out is a huge blow, both of them being out is panic fanny time

We have decent cover for all those players if required, and it wouldn't overly worry me if they were called upon.

The fear leading up to this fixture was always injuries and suspensions. Blackpool have carefully avoided having midweeker before their big derby day. Not so Bolton. Already you can see something of a difference of approach to the fixture within the clubs.

We could cope with Jones being out, less so with either of JDC or Williams. Morley being unfit would leave us with Sheehan/Thomason/Maghoma. CMG would be the option from the bench but only in an attacking sense.

CMG - ex Fleetwood. Charles and Thomason both with very early days at Blackpool, and obviously Evatt. Hopefully they each want to make a point.

For those saying we need a statement performance, absolutely. As much as we've looked good lately (and looked increasingly like we'll challenge) these types of games are a one off.  Will we match Blackpool for derby fervour? I really hope so. Once bitten twice shy though. I'll believe it when I see it.

If all of them are out, not ideal but we’d still have cover. Forrester in for Jones, Iredale to LWB. Same midfield as Tuesday but with one less option on the bench. Matherson in at RWB wouldn’t worry me, think he’s a good one and seems to have a good attitude and is level headed that the occasion wouldn’t get to him. Even if they decided to target him as an ‘inexperienced’ player on the day.

It’s all if’s and but’s at the minute anyway.

I agree its annoying that we've picked up a couple of injuries while they had a free midweek, but I'm not sure when the game could have been played in the near future.  Stockport next Tuesday, international break the week after and Oxford on 28th.  So it would have to be at least December and that's without rearranging the other postponed games, and EFL next round.

I was going to add that we might have a replay v Harrogate on 12th Dec but its Pompey on the 11th so god knows when any replay is pencilled in for!

One of the dads at training cited Dembele as their main danger.

Tricky little number 10 whos been working well slipping balls through for Jordan Rhodes.

For some reason their manager has him in and out of team apparently but he's a fans favourite.

Their lots frustrated at how much he tinkers.

Was speaking to my Blackpool-supporting mate at work today and he said the same about Dembélé. Doesn't understand why he gets so little time on the pitch.

Think it's the other end of the pitch where Blackpool are vulnerable. Conceded 7 in their last two league games. Is the centre back who got sent off v Peterborough still suspended for our match with em?

Go on, explain to me about their care in avoiding a weekday game compared with our what? Playing a game as directed by EFL due to international call-ups?

They all rate Dembele and reckon he should have a free role in midfield and they also want Norburn in the middle but there's a question over his fitness so may not play. In his absence, this is the line up the  fans seem to want:
