barrycowdrill Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Some of the decision making when it isn’t going our way isn’t even naivety. It’s just 100% gormlessness. Quote

Agree stifled us and again IE didn’t get us to change our approach . Plenty of games left we can give them a dam good thrashing when we play them at home. Quote
deeane Koontz Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 They've worked hard but we've fell for literally every trap they set for us. Such a naive performance. Smh Quote
captainmed Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Well beaten. Win the next 2 home games and we’re back. Quote

You are watching a different game to me then. And a different game to the ref, who has been giving the fouls in Santos's favour. Quote

bwfc4ife Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 We created all our problems tonight pissing about with it at the back, Needed Vic on at half time and much more direct approach to mix it up. It’s so frustrating the amount of times we make one or two passes at the back and lose it everytime. Really poor frustrating performance! Quote

Wanderlust Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Question is what will this defeat, the bookings and Sheehan's suspension do to morale and performance in the upcoming games? Will the pack chase us down? Or will we bounce back straight away? Big job for Evatt this week. Quote

Yep Good enough to stop us playing the way we like to play, big occasion, crowd and opposition bang up for it and we're found wanting It doesn't have to be the end of the world if we can earn enough points from the rest (and we might) but we've still not found an answer to the above Quote
dusan nikolic Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Still in a great position and won't get many tougher places to visit than Pompey this season , if the sitter goes in who knows but Dion's got plenty of credit in the tank. Quote
Site Supporter Cheese Posted December 11, 2023 Site Supporter Posted December 11, 2023 Season over. Need a complete rehaul next summer if we escape relegation. Nowhere near good enough. Quote

I doubt many more will perform like Portsmouth. As above, I think there is still room for tactical improvement by IE, and maybe on the odd occasion, be prepared for a horses for courses type approach. I felt they might stop our midfield from its usual game, and it proved to be the case, and I do believe that there is a stubborn streak whereby he wants to show his way is the best. He is still learning though, and the team is developing at the same time. I'm jot going to get unduly angry about it though- previously I've said I didn't think we had the squad for automatic promotion, but now I think we may have. Are Portsmouth better- possibly but second will do. Quote
Tony Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Oh dear not an enjoyable night. Harried and outmuscled. Don't enjoy the way Portsemouth play but it can be effective. Quote
DaisyHWanderer Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Outplayed tonight and sloppy, especially 2nd half. But it's one game, onto the next and how we bounce back Quote
Moots Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Think it’s obvious now why Bod hasn’t started many games, he just doesn’t fit our play at times and is deffo an impact sub. Quote
