Santos really struggling looks less with it than the B team lads.

Played like a friendly . No intensity. Hutchinson made some good saves. Jay Matete is awful. 

Santos just playing out his contract.

Matete is very frustrating, I think he's thinks he's better than he actually is.

Gives off the the impression that he's comfortable on the ball yet he makes so many mistakes right in the middle of pitch. 

Tries to play the game at his pace and like he's Jay Jay or something.

Jones has been woeful, along with most of the senior squad players

Jones has stood out

For being miles worse than id expect

Etete and Santis are probs weeks from the first team

Liked most of Tooles gane but durely he aint making it as a CB

Only watched the last 15 but I would agree with that. Etete and Matete have been useless and Santos is as bad as I have ever seen him (first game back though)

Dreadful stuff and only Hutchinson comes out with any real credit for 3 terrific saves. Demps is at least trying but looks short on practise but Matete, Santos, Jones and especially Etete just awful. Can’t fault our young lads but the seniors aren’t helping them. Based on today all the senior players here can pack their bags for me.

Hogan, O'Toole and Weston look far better than Santos and Jones today, they look a million miles away. Not liking this 3 at the back stuff, they all look a bit lost, and the midfield is being overrun.

Yes, looks like they're still working on Evatt ball, that needs to change. Fair play to the kids they were ok but cant see any if them threatening the first team any time soon. Shame Hutchinson didnt come off with a clean sheet he was excellent.

Probably a good job decisions aren't made on friendlies against a bunch of kids really.  We could read back comments from those cup games against U21s and there would be players in the 1st team now that would have been shown the door based on testimonial type games.  Today was a training session.

Only thing I have to say about that is the inside of that new stadium looks a right mess. Like jumbled together bits of stands. Very odd for an expensive new stadium (that looks great from the outside).

The football was just a training exercise.

Finished work and darted to my Dad's to watch last half hour.

Walked in and they scored. Made a brew and match was off.

Had me fixing his fence instead.

You missed his first 3 or 4, most especially Colchester away, I assume ?

Bit of nothing game in the face of it….but much more in reality…obvs a couple more Bolton first teams played than they normally would…..expected Schumacher to name himself on bench….unless he was lucky enough to get a ticket for the game anyway.
