Go on then… I’ll bite: how are they shite? Please identify their weaknesses and how you would improve them?

If I have to explain how Crellin & Dixon are shite you need counselling.

Crellin was shite. Too small, seemed to forget where his goal was at times and couldn't make basic saves.

Coleman isn't shite, he's just not good as Baxter.

So Crellin improves by growing?

Work on positioning is fair enough.

Basic saves? Work on technique or confidence?

Hmm, or maybe you educating? Show me your understanding of a modern goalkeepers role in a team, and what their manager is looking for and maybe I’ll take you on.

I’m not saying either are greats- can’t give up on Crellin (though I know his heart isn’t in it), but they both fit a profile that goes beyond palming one over the bar

BBC report on Everton's new ground today - looks impressive from the outside but the very limited inside photos they've shown inside look terrible.

However, they've tried to bank the stands as steep as possible for atmosphere so I reckon it'll be intimidating as. Probably Cambridge away standard.

I love looking at grounds. Old and new. They are like cathedrals. But I have to say that I'm totally unimpressed by Everton's new home. Looks like a posh St Andrews. Also locating it next to water will make getting away from the area an absolute nightmare. Unless you have a boat that is.

Unless you have a boat. That’s an opportunity for some enterprising young scouser.

It does look really smart outside, imaginative design. Inside I'd imagine it's not much different to any other recent effort. Seats look quite steeply banked.

Apparently getting away by public transport after could be a bit of an issue, though more for the locals, visitors would have to make their way back into town anyway. One I wouldn't mind visiting though if we get the chance

35 degrees. Steepest you're allowed to build in accordance with the law, apparently.

I was at the hotel opposite for a couple of days a short while ago

Ground looks ace close up

But on a normal midweek day the traffic was shite. If we’ve always been restricted at expanding our ground due to the roads, how they’ve allowed that to be built with the obvious traffic issues is beyond me

Its outstanding, iconic location, stunnning outside with a nod to the locations past, and inside....looks massive and its exactly what you want as a footbal ground, built for football matches, anythning else is secondary.

Its not a bowl like so many others, its right on top of the pitch, steep squared stands and single tiered as you can get...with no bullshite US or Spurs 'Sky walks' and all that bollock.

Exactly what the fans asked for and voted for.

Im getting a semi now, thinking of how loud those booos will be.

Looks massive, but isnt!  52,000 capacity. obviously the powers that be didnt want it any bigger, as they wouldnt fill it!

It is massive, those single tiers are huge🤣

The area size its built on would not allow more, its built on 1 dock, almost 3rd of the build cost was dredging it and filling it with sand, its as much about that location, its a special and unique location for any new gorund like this, its unreal.

New owners already looking at future developments of dock next door.

Possibly parking?? there appears to be very little open area around the stadium for such things.

Hell yeah that would be good, but going to be planty of issues with travel & parking to start off, before people get new routines and newrer transport facilities are sorted.

**Saying that though, I doubt they would pay £200 million just to put a car park on it, think it would more likely be similar to whats at CItys ground.

These would still be issues at any new location for a ground, we do have an larger issuse with our transport infastructure UK wide, even without new grounds in pretty much City centre locations.

Folk mention problems getting away. I reckon it’s gonna be easier than leaving the Reebok in its first seasons. I mean it is pretty wank even now.

they will sort the transport. The issues with the station no doubt be worked. They will have shuttle buses as well.

it’s only 3.5km from Goodison as it is. Plenty of transport available.

closer to limestreet than Goodison

really hope the park stuff takes off it will be mint
