Probably a good job decisions aren't made on friendlies against a bunch of kids really.  We could read back comments from those cup games against U21s and there would be players in the 1st team now th

So 6pts deduction, rather than 10pts deduction.

But the club either broke the rules, or it didn't.  This half-way scenario is neither one thing nor the other.

Aren't there another bunch of accusations facing you now ? Will that be concluded this year too or can you foot-drag it all again to kick it into next season ?

They broke the rules, which is why they've been given the six point deduction

Presumably, there were mitigating factors which meant the punishment was reduced

Original punishment too harsh, that’s what appeal was about. Proven correct.

2nd charge, don’t know.

Don’t really care.

The mitigating factors being they can be more lenient on City and others  if and when they get rumbled.

City is a hugely different set of charges

I doubt this sets a precedent for anything they may or may not get

Man City have 7 of the same charge.

So all the moaning and crying paid off.

Only another 108 to get through then

Maybe you learnt something.

Just the loss of income to teams who got relegated instead of them as they dragged the whole thing out to be dealt with then ... plus the second set of charges.

Sure it was said that they didn't gain any sporting advantage

Might just be like when Derby failed to show the accounts of the time they were cooking the books, Wycombe weren't happy as they got relegated as a result

They settled on compo

Fair play. Makes that table look different. What a farce though. Luton to see if they can sue for thinking they were staying up next

Fully expecting Sheff Utd to be ringing their lawyers from the Tevez payout.

Yeah it’s all gonna happen. All games with John Jensen to be replayed again first

The whole FFP is a farce. Everton punished immediately whilst City and Chelsea get nothing.

Everton get a ten point penalty mid season which is then reduced to six makes a mockery of the season.  Will Forest get get ten points deducted in March to put them in the relegation zone? The whole thing is like Bruce Forsyth doing play your cards right😀

There's a few seemingly valid reasons for the city delay

It goes back over a number of seasons, there's a lot more charges that are more complex and city have plead not guilty and have lawyers on the case

Everton was other one season, there was no case to argue and they didn't contest the charge

Not sure about Chelsea, didn't know they've been charged, I guess that will be pretty easy too if it's over last few windows

Possibly but the lack of transparency and amateur way it is being handled reflects very poorly on the Premier League. VAR is the same. Shambles.

Oh absolutely. I’m not invested in this and I’m sure you know the ins and outs much better but the appearance and way it is being handled is piss poor. Likewise VAR.

Saying it could be decided after the season once all clubs get confirmed. Haha what a shit show

Exactly their aim & effectively what they achieved last time.

It's just bollocks - let clubs spend what they want to spend, if they ultimately go bust, then tough shit. If they "buy the league" then so what, that's been happening for years anyway

They dress it up as wanting clubs to be sustainable but all it does is maintain the status quo and that's what they want

Owners should just have to keep a reserve fund to pay for all their contractual commitments.  Problem solved.

It's bollocks that Newcastle, one of the richest clubs in the world, cannot spend money.
