The forward was a centre half; I suspect he wasn't happy and was uncomfortable playing there.

No reason to be lazy of course, but he was on a hiding to nothing.

Kinell, didn't know that. Makes more sense now.

Accurate... Nearly.

Superb for Dan. Hope he can push on from that and the confidence from a league goal helps him build on to bigger and better things.

Still not been to a game since the first home of the season. Today I was wanting to go for the first time since but had prior commitments due to 6 year old girl parties.

how many? do you need reporting.

It's my 6 year old daughter going to a party you degenerate.

A strange quirk of results now sees us having the play the rest of the top 9 teams away!

Bizarre.

Our away record is superb, I honestly think we'll fair well away.

Did Allardyce team who went up to the prem win about 14 aways? Can see this lot matching that.

Yes I'm in booze but I fancy us away more than at home this season

I was thinking just that... until today!

Didn’t go today but watched in Sir Ralph Abercrombie in Manchester and had a few of us making it seem like a Bolton pub.

We looked fucking quality, really really good and it was just a matter of how many.

I still maintain we’ll win the league, despite what happens in the next 2 games. Pompey aren’t all that and Oxford are way above their pay grade. I do think the cream (money) will rise and Derby will end up up there but we have a big enough advantage and I think we’re better than those chasing that we’ll have enough to end up on top.

Up the whites, good to hear a pub in Manchester full of Bolton songs!

What a day.
GD fantastic

I've just wasted 5 minutes of my life trying to work out which player's initials are GD.

The amount of folk leaving early is crazy, I’m not talking about 5 mins either

When it got to 4-0 I predicted it would be half empty by 85 minutes, folk get bored of it don't they.  Our ground emptys quicker than any I've seen in all the football I watch live or on TV, even those that stay till the end can't get out quick enough after a 7-0 win.

If previous trends are anything to go by, we can expect the next one to be in about 2048.

I find it amazing people can't be arsed to applaude them off after a performance like today while accepting some have places to go or unfirm on their feet.

How many pissed off because they were developing hypothermia? 🤣

Scoring 7 is a phenomenal achievement but how shit were Exeter?

Granted we played some lovely football at times but they've got to be the worst team I've seen in a long time

Yes, we have to put that result in context.  I thought Carlisle were poor but Exeter were as bad as any side I've seen us play, in any division, in any decade.  At no point was I impressed with either their defending, passing or forward play, and their keeper was hardly involved.  No way can Caldwell survive that on the back of their previous results (including 0-9 v Reading etc), shocking all over the pitch.  Not to take anything away from some of our great goals but I also know we won't be playing against that standard again, unfortunately!

They reminded of me of in the 6-0 at Bristol City - as soon as 1 went in, they wanted to go home

We also saw an 11 goal swing of goal difference today 😄

Also big shout to iredale solid performance best I’ve seen in that position

I'm an Iredale fan (relative to most comments I hear) but I didn't think he was at his best today.  Put a few passes astray 1st half and looked a bit sloppy, like many in the laboured half hour prior to the 1st goal, and none of his trademark 35 yard pinpoint passes to switch play in the whole game.  But a great headed goal, again, that's 3 from not many starts in home games.  I'd always pick him over Williams, but some prefer his extra pace and unpredictability, fair enough, I prefer the relative solidity and goals potential of Iredale but think he can be better than today.

Iredale was in his best position today, a bit docile at centre half but fine at LWB.

I'm OK with him or Williams. Williams offers more impact going forward, Iredale better defensively

Dempsey looked back to his best in his cameo, still question Vic over Bod, but can't knock any of them today, real Bolcelona performance.

Always easy to say "everyone was great" when we win 7-0, I may have even said the same in my youth when it last happened, but Vic wasn't great today.  He was good in the first 10 minutes, really got involved and did some decent lay offs etc, then reverted to type, being easily dispossessed and having no strength at all.  Poor again, and once again JDB streets ahead of him.  JDB will start against Harrogate and Port Vale but I'd prefer if he could sit those games out and play at Oxford and Pompey.

Cogley was very average today too, wasteful in possession and unable to execute some simple passes.

Everyone else excellent after the 1st half hour, a lot of 8 out of 10 performances but Maghoma provided the best moments and great cameo from Dempsey and loved Dan's assist, goal and celebration!

Dunno much about Exeter but last year they had some good players that included Jevani Brown and Blackman in net

Looked very much like cannon fodder today.

Anyway the whites juggernaut rolls forward, doesn't quite feel like '96 yet but there are elements there. We're winning and confident. It's half the battle.  4 pts next two games pls!

Maghoma does the one thing non of our other players do. Takes the ball on the half turn. When a team is expecting us to just play across them so they sit in he’s the one who breaks in between their banks

hard to do with Thomasson’s form at the min but his is the only spot Dempsey is looking at

Their fans singing We've got the ball We've got the ball, We've got the ball, We've lost the ball, We've lost the ball We've lost the ball.

Their fans were excellent really. Did their best to make noise all game despite getting battered.
They also certainly let the manager & players know their feelings after the game.

My youngest has travelled back to Exeter on the coach with them and apparently the mood was sombre.
