Barnsley (A)

Another away game, another on sale day.  Tomorrow at 10am, 3200 initial allocation. Depending on the next couple of weeks this could be a huge game.

Barnsley away definately not a Williams game. It's an Iredale game.

  • 😂😂😂 I’ll join you now. I’m a rationale person, honestly, but I’ve just gone through the most extreme range of emotions in the space of 2 hours sat on my fucking couch with nobody listening to me.

  • A 2nd half display that can turn seasons. Drive, effort, tempo, intent and loads of fucking battle and belief. Welcome back Bolton 💪💪💪

No excuse though for keeping making those errors.

We simply have to be able to play with a bit more intelligence.

He wouldn't if Coleman had just put his foot through it, our centre Half's spread so wide neither anywhere near their striker.

Tippy tap shite played badly by third division footballers

It was a simple ball played correctly to a central midfielder in central midfield. No real pressure until he mis controlled

It’s not luck though. It’s because other teams don’t invite pressure on themselves.

Look at our goal kicks - we know they are pressing so that Coleman is going to have to play it long, yet we still play it short and then pass it back to Coleman under pressure.

It is luck when the ball cannons straight to one of their players.

We just can't seem to get enough points off the top 5 or 6 sides to get into the top 2 places

A simple ball into a midfielder running towards his own goal and under pressure.

Prey tell why that is a great tactic??

We're playing fuckin Barnsely in the 3rd division. Neither has it paid off at the other end by us creating chance after chance so what's the fucking point.

Being troubled by that new football philosophy of getting the ball out wide and early in to the box. I don’t think it’ll ever catch on..

They look like scoring on every attack we look toothless around the box

It’s not though. Our players pull out wide (looking for a pass) leaving the middle free for Thomason to play it back to the keeper if he needs to. If you tackle Thomason there will be no central defence to cover.

Thomasson had more than enough time. He even had a look. Decided to take a touch and try and spread a Hollywood ball. Non of that is on Coleman

He called for it, there was nobody in the screenshot when he received it, he then put his first touch about 5 paces ahead of him and took 3 weeks to catch up with it and try and turn a ball round the corner - any of Sheehan, Maghoma or Dempsey in that position and it’s still 0-0.

Correct, plus you are playing it to a player who collects the ball with his back to play - so he has no idea who is behind him.

I'm not disputing it was poor play by GT, but why do they feel they have to do that whether it's Sheehan, Thompson or Father Xmas, that's the real question

We ain’t scoring they’ve got our cards marked

Ending the season in 5th

How many times has Coleman kicked/thrown to touch

Yeah fair question. All part of the ‘philosophy’ innit.

Sick of saying the same fucking thing but how many fucking chances to square the ball from the bye line to someone in a Bolton shirt do we need? It’s embarrassing

Get Paris and Bod on

We just don't win these type of games. Tactical and mental frailty.

Abysmal

Need more creativity in the middle, George off for Paris at HT, Vic been doing OK, Collins not in it much but both starved of any real chances, leave them on for 10-15 minutes though before Bod on

There's another half to go ffs, and some of you lot would have already thrown the towel in.

Not good enough same old story!

Well its saved me best part of 2 grand as I'd promised i would book hospitality for an end of season game for the family should we be on a guaranteed promotion position.
