  • Fuck the performance.  We won.  With a depleted front line and the only fresh legs available are 47 years old. Winning ugly is winning.

See you blowing smoke up Bristol asses on their forum, you are one weird fucker.

  • Dempsey’s performance showed exactly why Maghoma needs to be starting. Best midfield lineup is Sheehan, Maghoma and GT.

Jones at fault for the second and Evatt massively culpable for the defeat.

At 1-0 down, you don't take your goalscorer off to bring a defender on.

And Baxter going walkabouts.  Santos doesn't necessarily need to bring him down if the goal isn't wide open.

I'm not sure we do that anymore do we?  I can't remember the keeper going to the right back position this year, to receive a pass from the CB?  If so, fair enough, they've learned from it and it won't happen again.  But Santos wasn't on his own to be blamed for losing that game (our only home defeat since 7th October).

Yes definitely a tactic from IE, but Baxter still not 100% blameless as he could have arguably said "bollocks to leaving my goal unguarded", players must have an element of reading situations for themselves.

Hopefully that's all in the past anyway.

For that, he'd have had to have know Santos would miscontrol it

For me he didn't need to be so far wide . He left himself no chance to get back. But we conceded early this game and we was shit from word go so it just compounded a shit performance.

Be aware Bristol have a clean air zone charge. Those driving down may need to check to see if the car is chargeable.

One of those double meaning terms there.

If it's "chargeable", it will be compliant!

I just know if I was a goalie I wouldn't put my clean sheets on the line based on my CB always being able to control a ball near the halfway line 😀 Seeing that goal again, it beggars belief we invited that on ourselves, whoever was to blame most.

6-0 to us.

EFL award us 5 points for being sexy as fuck

Well, you might if it's what your manager's asked you to do, though

Baxter wasn't at fault for that goal

Could be near gale force winds tomorrow.

Just need to win whatever - nothing else will do

Got a record of away ticket costs, but not totalled up a for trains, taxis, food and beers for me and junior.

If you see me crying tomorrow, it’s because I have added it all up !

Im struggling how anybody can pin it on Baxter

Don't think anyone is 'pinning it' on Baxter - Rico's mistake was probably 90% of it - but it was a fucking mad moment from Baxter. He may have been told to go out there in certain situations, but Evatt doesn't have an Xbox controller dictating his every move. It was ridiculous positioning considering we had possession in their half.

Disagree

Baxter was where he was supposed to be

Santos fucked up

Vast majority of times he wouldnt so Baxter plays for the likely outcome

I find it hard to believe that Baxter had been told "When we have the ball on the left wing in their half, and we're looking to mount an attack, leave your goal line and stand in the RCB position in case we need to play it back to that area". It makes no sense. Maybe I'm being naive?

Let's do this.

It's precisely that

Evatt's asking him to play as a keeper back, and he's there to be an additional passing option in the back line

Either Baxter or Evatt has messed up then, as there's no way a keeper should be out in that position

It's the modern game pal.

I see it every week in junior football.

Keepers aren't just keepers anymore.

Yeah in terms of using keepers to retain the ball I agree. Not sure I ever see the keeper for any team in that position though
