Aye the final in Copenhagen. Fresh after Kevin Speight and Chris Loftus were killed.

It was far from just Arsenal over there. Then there was the Sunderland thing.

Just a matter of time before the times right and we cross paths again properly.

That game at Sunderland felt unhinged and I only saw it on telly.

A proper pressure qualifier but played away from Wembley, made it into a club style game. Lads in Aquascutum caps on the pitch after we scored. That doesn't happen with England games 😂

Can't moan can we.

Oh fuck yeah we can. There's always something.

Thought we were marginally better tonight. Foden did well, won possession a few times (I never had him down as a ballwinner) and was directing traffic early doors, Saka showed something of what he can do instead of passing backwards, we pressed as a team for a change and Konsa was great with superb positioning and some good blocks. All a bit slow though and it was predictably late taking Kane off - the game was far more suited to runners like Watkins and the likes of Gordon or Bowen wide left. Holland will be a different challenge as we enter the land of the giants - we'll need to be quicker and work harder.

Christ. We're that bad to watch I've actually done other stuff during the last 2 games and just come in for key moments, and then been semi pleased we've won.

Not football to get enthused by.

Whereas the Germany v Spain match I wholeheartedly got into and enjoyed.

The glory days of aquascutum.

Remember that documentary with Leeds and Cardiff? Glorious.

Germany played well all tournament and are out. We have played shit and are in the semis.

I would rather be us. History does not record how well you played. It only records the results. Fuck Germany fuck the swiss fuck em all there are only 4 teams left in this comp and we are one of them.

Have a think about that for a minute lads and when you have put your weight behind Gareth and the boys. Do we deserve to be be here ? Who cares we are and that is all that matters. Come on England

The thing is, I'm with you entirely on our performances - I've been bored shitless - but I've never been anything less than delighted we've found a way to progress

A shit England is always better than a beaten one

It won't let me view it but I vaguely remember it, was that about that FA Cup game? That was another one that felt like a different era, proper generational hatred

There's a lot in this imo

How many saves did their keeper make tonight?

Don’t understand your point. We were the better team.

The better team? I’m not sure we’re going to agree on this. We had lots of the ball but did nothing with it.

Its only going to get worse. We're about to dive into a season that features an extended Champions League, followed by a world cup of clubs, then into another season, then into a 48 team mid summer world cup that lasts 6 weeks. It'll be last man standing.

Can't even imagine how that WC will look to a TV audience, 4 or 5 games a day at mad times

Definitely the better team tonight. Not confident we will beat Netherlands in next round though, and despite supporting southgate in the past, I’m very dubious about his selections in this tournament

... & luckiest.

Kane needs dropping, him getting that knock let him substitute him without fear.

Just too much football.

Qatar was ace as players were fresh..

Players are fitter than they've ever been. They have to be.

Don't really disagree. There does seem to be a system-based rigidity which leads to moments of individual quality being few and far between. Ironically, when they do happen (Bellingham, Saka) it makes the difference.

Fuck em. Fuck any rivals, fuck our jealous British bit-part nations, fuck the nations who’d love to be where we are but aren’t, fuck the Dutch who think they’ll ride past us in the Semis, the French and Spanish who think their biggest games are before the final,  fuck the Southgate haters who’d rather us lose because of some political ideals, fuck anybody who wants England to fail.

We are coming for you all.

This is our time.

COME ON ENGLAND 👏👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Beautiful in a Mike Basset stylee.

Aye. Qatar was unbelievable. Seemed every game was epic.

Aye, this tournament has been a stinker

Hope the Dutch beat Turkey. Its time for our long overdue revenge on Koeman for 1993.

Living close to an Ajax fan at present. "Over the moon" to be playing us rather than Switzerland. Reckons the Swiss can score and we can't.

I'm still in the predicament. Seeing us finally lifting another international trophy against seeing Southgate being placed on a pedestal with the late, great Sir Alf Ramsey.

Southgates critics said last 8 so theyre wrong again

Awful watch though

Correct.

Correct - it does happen now and again y'know. No idea how we've got there mind.

Correct.

France is the most easterly country left
