3 games in and I’m just tired of it already. Tired of looking so impotent. Tired of the same players meandering through games making the same mistakes. Tired of there being no accountability from any

  • Did no one else get injuries? It’s a bit of a myth this hard luck story. Needs to get promoted in top 2. Nope Needs to win the play off as we will never have a better chance. Nope. Need

Collins and McAtee look quality on the ball, best football we've played this season so far.

Yep , we do look light in the middle

Collins as had a couple of chances shooting as been weak .
This ref looks like there manager screaming at him all the time as got to him

Apart from the goal fuck up, what is the assessment so far?

Are we managing with 2 in midfield?

Doesn't seem like we're getting any better, despite another million+ spent

Our midfield looks week compared to Charlton's.

Sheehan ineffective. Prefer to see matete

Obvious last week and this that we’re not going to rip up any trees this season with just two in the middle.  Teams have already realised they just need to overload us and we’ll never get going offensively. A waste of our attacking talent. As others have said it’s obviously “the new plan” though so not holding out any hope IE’s tactics will change anytime soon.

Yet again there's no urgency in our play

Opposing sides target Sheehan and then we become ineffective and have no ideas.

I wouldn't have started Sheehan for this game - just not his game - but as he's been picked ahead of Matete (who would have prevented their goal) we have to be far more effective both at the front and back. So far we've been erratic at the back and toothless up front. It would be a good time for these players to up their game.

So, no change to last year then.

Are they taking codeine before kick off? :)

Just been out working, and my back has gone into spasm, so I've just had a couple, and gone sleepy!

Strikers will have to be extra clinical if we're playing with fuck all in midfield lol

You won't be able to shit for a week.

This is where Evatt should be earning his coin in changing the game with subs and formations.

The most obvious thing for me over the last three games is the huge hole left by Paris. The composure he had on the ball just helped it stick so much more particularly when Sheehan was also on form.

This forward 3 isn’t working early days but they are mostly to far apart . I would be tempted to take one of them off and get another midfielder on

Get a midfielder on at half time Evatt

100% - and Matete is sat on the bench FFS,

I don’t recall seeing many top teams playing 5-2-3. It’s not working and needs changing asap.

We have no control in midfield and look very vulnerable on the break.

Odds on him doing like for like subs?

Only 2 so far.

I'll see how it goes.

Had back spams a few times now. Hopefully won't be too long of a job.

Frustrating performance by the sounds of things.

Do our strikers actually train together during the week? Not on the same wavelength at all.

Also it is fine passing it out from the back if you have players that can do it, shite from Santos and Toals distribution abysmal again.

We’re too easy to play against & our mentality when the game plan isn’t working is awful.

Same old really. Oxford was a huge wake up call for me. This squad is wasted under Evatt & regularly crumble under pressure.

As always, I would love to be proven wrong as I do respect the guy. But with the standard in the league this season, we need a big improvement in mentality & flexibility in tactics. Yet to see any signs of it.

With only 2 midfielders to give it to, then a striker has to drop in, or the ball played long, which makes it harder.

Got to get things sorted quickly.

Plenty of time in the season, but I get the feeling that patience is wearing thin.

Great squad, but weird set up at the moment.
