Paddy Kenny was in goal and started dancing when we had a chant about his Mrs shagging behind his back. Dean Kiely? Not sure Kenny played for Charlton. He may of done with 600 clubs he racked up Quote

Jol_BWFC Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 I’d take a draw and reckon we’ll get one. Desmond. Annoyed I’m away at the moment as this is a good away day (and I work near London Bridge, so it’s familiar territory). Quote
radcliffe white Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 Long shot but anyone got a spare U18 ticket? Saves me going to the ground tomorrow as mad busy Quote

Traf Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 Charlton is one of my favourite aways too, seen far more wins than defeats there. Quote
Site Supporter Alf Hartigan Posted August 22, 2024 Site Supporter Posted August 22, 2024 Only been once but remember getting off the train from London bridge and getting lost from my mates. Ended up walking round the ground to get to the away end. Seemed like quite a nice area to be fair. Nice ground too Quote
noxid Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Last time I went to Charlton was at the Valley in 76 to see The Who and the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Quote
Eddie Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Last year was just about the perfect away performance, we looked so good. Same again please 2-0 Collins and Vic Quote
Duck Egg Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Presumably it'll be unreserved seating tomorrow? I think we're meant to be on the first couple of rows. Quote
Moderators Casino Posted August 23, 2024 Moderators Posted August 23, 2024 its front row of upper section, i think but aye, itll be find a seat Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Charlton memories: Uri Geller sitting in with Bolton fans Bolton fan in the row in front of us coming back to his seat after falling asleep in the bogs at half time and then promptly throwing up all over the poor lad in front of him. Visiting that cracking chippy by the ground but spilling the pot of curry sauce all down the front of my kecks. Must have looked like I'd followed through so violently that it had blasted through from the back to the front! Witnessing the horror that was the Antigallican pub. Quote

captainmed Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Get something here and we should be nicely settled in the top 4 after 6 games with the next 3 at home. Quote

Strange how that's mirroring last season when we only played 4 away games in our first 12. I was hoping to get a more even spread of home/away games this year so that the table is a more accurate reflection and away games don't pile up, but looking at international weekends clashing with away games it will probably happen again. You’re right. Let’s hope our mentality improves this season for when these aways do come. Quote
