Hoping that's a midfield 3 rather than Dempsey up front with Collins and Charles, but at least a bit stronger than with Sheehan if it's a 2.

Evatts gone from stubborn and pig headed with his bum boy sheehan to acquiring Dougie Freedmans bingo machine and not knowing what he's doing in the matter of minutes.

Toal starting on the left ahead of Johnston is a risk, however it has logic to it and, fingers crossed, will prove a good decision

Sheehan dropping from the starting line-up felt like it was inevitably going to occur at some stage, and even though I expect him to still have a big part to play in the rest of the season, I'm glad Evatt's decided not to start him today

I'm pleased to see Matete and Collins start

Evatt seemingly prioritising physicality at the back

Huddersfield are a big athletic team so it makes sense not to get bullied. We just need to match them for creativity and ruthlessness in front of goal. Could go either way this.

This formation / system does not work if we can't pass. Every move breaking down before we get to the final third and putting us back under pressure.  Thomasson not the only one but hes had a very poor half

There you go. A lapse in concentration after the injury break and the guy is free in the box.

ph31 is absolutely right about good passing being a necessity in this system - TBH I'm not sure how we are going to get a sniff of a goal unless the passing improves massively.

Hudd more physical than us which is no surprise for this league. Dempsey non existent at the moment. Charles is facing a 6'5" giant with most balls lumped to him in the air.  Meanwhile their crosses are really dangerous while ours are shockingly poor and they flood the box every time. If they get a second, it will be game over.

Always going to be tough this game. He could bring Sheehan on for George but that would create a different problem for us. How could bring Vic on for Demps or Dion but I can't see him getting much joy out of the big backs. He could even bring Williams on to try to push their WB back but he can't defend as well as Schon. Whatever he decides he needs to do something to change the frantic dynamic of this game which suits Huddersfield.

George having a poor game. tbf that can happen to anyone but now he's booked for being mouthy (which is a crime tbh. I get a foul, but talking yourself into the book 🫣) means he's on a knife edge.
