Fossey and Bradley with John on the other side were all better than league one (yes even John, who for all his demotivation was still used to being in the championship) and made wing backs look like a great idea. The moment we've got league one standard wing backs they've struggled to perform the role needed - too much is asked of them.

I’d be surprised if it’s Rovers, they’re screwed for funding aren’t they? Unless I’ve missed it, I’m pretty sure the Indian government are still blocking the Venkys from moving any more money out of India other than for minimal running costs. To be fair, the club itself has made some money from recent transfers but I’d imagine that’s being used in the absence of anything else coming from the Venky’s pockets.

Shame to see Charles go but we desperately need someone to hold the ball up for Collins and Lolos and provide an aerial threat. If we invest in that type of player we will be far more potent in attack and give the defence a breather when we are under the cosh like Barnsley second half.

When pressed about it a few weeks back, Evatt did hint that we might not do something which aids their attempts at promotion.

As a general point, this is the thing I have a gripe with.

Some people can’t disassociate what our current situation is, to what has happened before this season.

And to stretch the point further - EVERYTHING he does or says now is wrong, there is little objective or balanced perspective.

If Charles is offski’s I do wish him well. Could have scored a lot more with more minutes and consistency, but has done a good job for us. Be interesting to see how he fares a division above.
