Definitely going backwards in terms of quality. Fossey and Bradley with John on the other side were all better than league one (yes even John, who for all his demotivation was still used to being in the championship) and made wing backs look like a great idea. The moment we've got league one standard wing backs they've struggled to perform the role needed - too much is asked of them.

worthy10 Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 The challenge is a tough one. To attract champoinship level players on 1st div wages into a team low in confidence, quality and mental fortitude?

Casino Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Though it does seem the thing to knock most things in the Evatt reign
BOWTUN BAKED Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Heads up. Dion hasn't been playing because he's off to QPR

Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Rovers or Preston I'd guess.

I’d be surprised if it’s Rovers, they’re screwed for funding aren’t they? Unless I’ve missed it, I’m pretty sure the Indian government are still blocking the Venkys from moving any more money out of India other than for minimal running costs. To be fair, the club itself has made some money from recent transfers but I’d imagine that’s being used in the absence of anything else coming from the Venky’s pockets. Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Preston it is then! in reality, I've no idea, just piecing together snippets.
Farrelli Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Shame to see Charles go but we desperately need someone to hold the ball up for Collins and Lolos and provide an aerial threat. If we invest in that type of player we will be far more potent in attack and give the defence a breather when we are under the cosh like Barnsley second half.
masi 51 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Bolton have turned down a significant loan offer from Wycombe to extend until the end of the season

I presume it's either buy him or fuck off. When pressed about it a few weeks back, Evatt did hint that we might not do something which aids their attempts at promotion. One thing that I agree with him about.

Some people can’t disassociate what our current situation is, to what has happened before this season. And to stretch the point further - EVERYTHING he does or says now is wrong, there is little objective or balanced perspective.
Popular Post tomski Posted December 30, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2024 If Charles is offski’s I do wish him well. Could have scored a lot more with more minutes and consistency, but has done a good job for us. Be interesting to see how he fares a division above.

Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Me too. Done what was asked of him, and more so than anyone other striker in the team. I'd like to keep him, but if he's going then all the best. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=369194471376984&vanity=officialbwfc Not just Collins that can do the spectacular!
desperado Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Charles’ brother causing a bit of a stir on Twatter
Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Saw AC and thought it was Collins! Ah well, just typical bollocks from one platform or another.
Whitesince63 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 So if Dion is off as seems likely, realistically how much do we get for him?
