The old thing of, if there is a god, why this, why that..

God can't stop bad people doing bad things, can't stop the world, etc

Believing in Christ, believing in God, gives you the strength to deal with these things. Christianity has moved a long way from blaming God etc

"Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken" Psalm 55:2

People are right to question, the bible even shows this.. Religion can't exist without opponents.

"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light without Darkness". Corinthians 6:14

If god is powerful and able to create the world from nothing surely stopping baby rape is easy

But it has to be. The people who preach and who have felt the spirits always say that it is good, it is great and they are all mighty

Converts are the worst. Always the most zealous.

We have a brother in law who woke up screaming one night a few years ago and “speaking in tongues” claiming he’d been visited by Jesus and told to spread the word, or some such shite.

He now baptises African immigrants who don’t seem to have a clue what’s going on, in a small river near Swindon.

And I’m touching the tip of the iceberg with this fucker’s nonsense, I really am.

Why not?

If he's all this and that, then why not?

For me, that's the weakness of the argument: of he is only supposed to have crested all things, but lets the world carry on, but that seems extremely selective and convenient.

Just absolve yourself of wrong doing, and apologise to the big man.

Obviously, this ks a somewhat coarse comment, but in the end, that's how it appears.

Why is your God defined by which side of a line you're born on a map?

Because it's simple indoctrination, and very few people are going to be indoctrinated by someone who speaks a different language. A few mental cults just got far more popular than thousands of others.

I disagree. If I was gonna be indoctrinated I think I’d choose someone who sounded a bit mental and spoke jibbersh and a foreign language. Much more exotic. They may have a sun tan as well which would make their ramblings that little bit more appealing.

In which case, you would be one of the "very few" I mentioned.

Why are you right and they're wrong

They think the same thing but the opposite, they're right you're wrong

Some might even kill you for it

Could it be there's more than one god

Like the Romans and Greeks thought

You could get indoctrinated by Phil Brown.

The prophet as I like to call him

Not all belief in a "God" or "Higher power" requires a religion.

I'd be more on the side of nah..but nobody can be absolutely certain either way.

Just a made up mythical thing that someone once named god and people throughout time have brainwashed their children, no one's born religious, no one knows anything, whether they use it for good or bad, is up to them, but to me they're believing in something that's just as real as Santa, tooth fairy, aliens, ghosts, etc zero proof zero god.

I think you can on creation tbf. Its all there in actual facts and science. God did not create man in any way shape or from. Nor did he create a 2 trillion galaxy universe.

The whole idea of a spiritual being obviously can't be disproved but by Christ it can't be proven either. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

She may have created umpteen billion universes though.

Multitasking.

I think you can also go over some of the stories in the bible and pick out the ones that were incorrect / bollocks

jesus for example

let's start with immaculate conception

walking on water

coming back to life

bringing other folk back to life

none of this happened

and this man is the foundation for millions or billions of folks belifs the world over throughout time

at best he was a competent magician

Who actually wrote the bible, or any religious texts for that matter?
