Just got back. Dreadful game between two dreadful teams at a dreadful stadium in a dreadful town. And it couldn’t be any fucking sweeter!

  • I take it all back. 11 sets of bollocks there tonight. Not a single bit of quality like, but we fought to the end 💙💪💪

  • It was a great performance v Brum but they are pretty much home and hosed, nobody expected a result and we caught them off guard. I don't doubt our players ability. We have genuine talent.

With all the Hollywood circus shite that would come with it? Our current lot would wilt like tissue paper. Again. No thanks.

They can’t score against Us. That’ll do for me

Guarantee McClean scores against us in a play off final.

He would if one of the whores was wearing a Bolton kit.

Stockport would bother me more than them, or Wycombe. Bit of a hoodoo over us.

Big pitch at Wembley could help us against them all.

Don't think we are getting in after this bad run.

But have consistently said we are winning it all if we somehow do 🤷‍♂️.

And weirdly, I'd have us playing Stockport no problem, think it's hard to beat a team 3 times in a year and we are due.

Wrexham will finish 2nd.

Again, no logic to any of this 😁

This bloke is a proper team builder.

If I was a player I'd really want to do right for him.

Hopefully be a game and a half

Less likely obviously, but still time.

Reminds me a bit of last season's cat and mouse job with Derby for the second spot.

Twists and turns yet.

We just have to beat Wigan though; not just for the points, but because of the doubts and confidence of the squad that will be hit by another defeat.

I want us to just make the play offs in 6th place on the back of a winning win rather than going into them with a sense of failure... momentum is everything

Aye, fair point.

Can look at it both ways.

It's quite possible that whoever finishes 3rd will have momentum, but it's how that disappointment affects them.

We have to score first otherwise if they do they will shut up shop they are good defensively.

Think I’m still feeling miserable after Saturday as I’m getting less confident with each passing hour

He talks a good game and he identifies the problems we have well, but the question is can he resolve them? - without compromising on the things we do well. After all, players can’t be in two places at once.

At this stage of the season the only thing that matters is getting points on the board and I’m praying he can find a way to win, no matter how ugly it is.

We’ve seen some promising stuff at times, but I’m getting fed up with losing and hearing how unlucky we were for whatever reason.

We are all ‘fed up ‘ At times , but surely you can see the cards SS has been dealt are a mismatch & nothing profound is going to happen in the near future ?

He has to curb any criticism of ‘his’ players & soft parade them through the rest of the season , my expectations are minimal given our defensive weakness.

His big challenge will be to move out the deadwood & bring in more resilient players with limited funds given our financial position.

Just hoping for a win tomorrow to help dispel the recent pessimism.

As I said, he talks a good game - as a manager in a media situation should. I don’t take it that seriously as it’s PR and it’s evident in games what our situation is.

You are right to say that he will have challenges in the transfer market but the main function of a manager is to maximise the potential of the players at his disposal via development and deployment and I’m not yet convinced he has. That is not to say that he won’t in the future but the Wigan game would be a good time to start.

As for “the cards he was dealt” he said on his arrival that those very cards were part of the reason he wanted to come here in the first place 😀

You can't have that last paragraph if you're also having your first

Trouble is you will never win a game of cards if the pack you have contains six fives and six Nines and is devoid of any Aces and lacks a King
