Just get a striker that knows what they're doing in this league. Pretty please.

  • Let's just get in the to fucking cunts. No more getting bullied and rolled like a bunch of gaylord fannies.

  • CMG is best in the B team

Interesting wildcard. One thing I would say is a three man midfield cries out for Sheehan. While he might not be the strongest of our midfielders, he is the best playmaker. This is his formation.

I would normally agree, but Stockport away causes problems many games won't - He'll have a part to play later in the match. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him in the starting XI. Nor disappointed.

Doubt we will have ten on the bench

Er, that’s what I mean. Who gets left out unless we get injuries?

CMG is better centrally for me.

The times he's made a difference, have been from a centrally position/freedom to move.

He may have played wide at times pre season, but I just feel him and McAtee together offer enough defensively, nor enough offensively to make up for it.

We're also up against a physical side too and I just wonder if we may go a touch more solid, certainly initially.

He seems to of lost a yard of pace since his Achilles injury. Scored most of his goals previously by playing on the left.

Hope he makes it for us but can’t see it now unfortunately.

@burnden

As it gets closer the more nervous Im getting . Think we need time to gel with so many new faces .

we can win no doubt but the pessimist on my shoulder is screaming 2-0 to them .  Just dont think we have anything up front centrally to score the goals.

Typical Wanderers slow start to the season then blazing a trail after Halloween .

Wrexhams top goal scorer last season scored 9.

JSL.

…so we signed his understudy’s reserve back up yet some expect a higher return than that from him 😀

JSL.

All of which misses the point. Whilst I am sure we would all like a team of “proven goal scorers in all positions” we haven’t got the tens of millions they cost so we have to hope that SS can conjure up a winning formula that’s better than the others trying the same thing, starting tomorrow. There’s not a lot of goals in our current squad‘s careers, but despite that we’ve managed to score a few in the preseason and we seem better defensively so let’s hope it’s good enough when the real deal starts.

Finally the day has come…

up early, good brekkie then down the pub for 12 to get ready for kick o….

Try again tomorrow!

I dread to think what this place will be like if we don't win tomorrow, I don't think the servers will handle it.

2-1 Bolton.

To be fair people should be annoyed if we want to get promoted we need to win. We can’t keep messing up against rivals. It isn’t the end of the world but we need to move away from the “it’s fine” mentality.

Hopefully people understand that Stockport away is probably one of the toughest away games we will face this season .

Yes so let’s go and make a statement and give them a dam good thrashing .

Obviously I want to win

But more than anything I want to see a performance that shows it's a new era and we've moved on

I agree but without Dalby, Taylor etc I’d also like to see that we finally have the strength and depth in the squad to cover every position without weakening the team and that it still gives SS the flexibility he needs to switch it up whenever he needs to.

It’s a tough fixture, but I don’t want to hear any excuses this season - I’m fed up with hearing them year after year. SS has been backed and has had every opportunity to create his team and now, we are what he wants us to be.

If we get beat by a better team, fair enough.

And if we win and get promoted, that would also be fair enough.

We’re ready. Let’s do it.

Aye

There's no excuses

The club's stated aim is promotion

SS came in, saw the state of squad, saw what was needed and what wasn't and quickly went to work in the summer with his rebuild

And theres still time to ship out old faces and bring in new ones

This is all his now

The IE era is history, on and off the pitch

That should be the reason to believe we’re going to win the league. It’s Stockport County, for God’s sake, who’ve spent all but two seasons of their history below us, and most of the last decade in non-league!

We’ve been dragged into a negative mindset over the last 15 years and, if nothing else, that’s one thing I want us to lose, this season. We should believe we’re much better than EVERY team at this level.

Was really looking forward to watching the game this morning.

Just found out it's tomorrow.

Stick with me for all the latest ITK information out of our beloved club! 😁

Did not realise Stockport have signed a 15 goal striker from Peterborough and the lad on loan from Stoke.

Yup. Possibly why they’re on shorter odds to win the league than we are with some bookies. But a lot of clubs have made good signings and I reckon this season is going to be harder than last. However, we have SS and a new team of signings so we just need to handle it. COYWM!
