  • Indeed. Great post . I was more alluding to how they view us and being more up for it than us and us failing to deal with it time after time. Same with Wigan. We spent years just pretending

  • Evatt was sacked because he wasn't getting the best out of a squad HE had built over the course of a few years. Schumacher had half a season to assess it, and he's basically scrapped the lot and start

  • Bloody hell mate come on. What's the point if we don't get up for derbies? May as well all pack up and not bother ffs. These games are what it's all about.

On a positive note, I thought Burstow was good again

We could get more out of him I feel

Fucking train is fucking late, you fucking wait and fucking wait, fucking lost fucking found, stuck in fucking Lonsdale town

At the end of the season, the best teams are generally the luckiest.

Yes the table never lies

Weird team selection unless it was shop window day

Even then, swap Morley and Sheehan

Dominated 80 minutes

But again, one shot, one goal

Anyway, im knee deep in a blackpool hen do, so who cares

Also Johnston is poor, he's been at us for years now and makes so many errors on the ball and he's never improved.

Id be sticking Taylor in at left centre back for a go

Everyone can see the problem is at the back just look at the goals conceded last season to this it’s not been put right

. Till it is were  not going up will take another window for SS to sort as long as he can see the problem in front of him

Johnston isn't half the player he was 2 years ago. Slow and very limited.

Two things, we haven't lost so 4 draws on the bounce will look ok if we keep playing well and kick on turning good performances into wins, big if I know but very possible!

Secondly, we look a proper team, right pegs in n the right holes, so what I'm seeing is what SS is talking about and looks good, but we need wins. This is a step change from Evatt who I was never even sure if he watched the same game or just the tactics as played out in his mind!

The one issue is our left and right wings are out of kilter, on the left Conway is ripping it up but whoever in front of him isn't, and other way around on the right, ACD is but JDC or Tutu rarely seem be on the same wavelength.

With inverted wingers we need overlapping fullbacks who can deliver, that way we can go inside or out. That along with playing a 10, or two strikers gives us enough variation in the formation for most eventualities, we just need players to start making the key parts of the match count.

And finally, Toal, I thought people were over reacting with his performances last season, yes they were down, but he had injuries but I liked him. However he really has gone off this season too which is a shame. GJ always been up and down so no change there.

That's the frustrating part.

We may be close, but it isn't something that we can keep saying.

I saw a team at Stockport, on the back of the pre season efforts that, even though we lost, didn't look far off. Issue since has been us still looking not far off but no nearer either.

We have some better players in some positions and obviously play a different style, but over the six games and especially in the last three, I'm not seeing enough difference in us. I (maybe wrongly) anticipated us being a more physical, in their face, direct sort of side that could be canny at seeing a game out, as SS's Plymouth were so good at.

Burstow and Dalby, doing a split shift as no9, could easily be the 20 goal striker but they have no chance if there isn't more variety (and more volume) to how they are fed

Johnston looks terrified, its as if he's applied for a job as a footballer coz his wife said he was good playing against some waiters when they went to Sa coma , he was surprised to get the gig and faked it for a while and every week said to himself " well at least if i get found out I've still got the money"

Thick shit Bolton still pay him.🤔🤷🙄

Felt like a defeat in the end.

89 mins on the clock we get a free kick in our half and decide to take it quick and pass along the back line with two 6ft fuckers upfront.

So much poor decision making and lack of urgency all day.

They were there for the taking but yet again we just don't have that killer instinct.

If there was ever a day the curse should end was today.

There's more questions than answers at the minute.

Exactly!!!!, our players are not just poor at football they are fookin thick as sh*t.

An the first goal Burstow scored for us.

ACD had a nose bleed, got to the line and cut it back.

Bingo.

Not modern nor old fashioned, just basic.

The goal he scored today came from gale cutting inside though.

We were far from poor today. Just lacking that killer instinct.

Does feel like a defeat though, and that's becoming an all too-familiar feeling. Suspect all of our neighbours' cats did a runner when Simons scored our disallowed second. I screamed my fucking head off.

Toal seems to have lost a yard of pace

Johnston has never been quick but always been slight and 5 ft 11. That's his problem.

Every bit as bad as Les Ferdinand v United for me that.

Me, my wife and two kids all in huddle celebrating :(

Think the bigger defensive issue is we haven't replaced Santos. I thought we had with Taylor, but he's been another crock, and he's pencilled in as Left-Back anyway.

Fucking gutted for you mate. Still don't know why it was disallowed.

Think it was ACD stood in an offside position right in front of the keeper.

They had men on the posts though? Sure it'll be certified as a correct decision when I watch it back, but it's still a shitter of a decision. It was a brilliant corner and finish.

Playing like that nothing will change we need full backs that defend with wingers not getting forward Conway doesn’t work leaves us open

Gale.

Correct Decision unfortunately.

We're not creating real chances and our possession stats are meaningless. We need to get the ball into the box this aint rocket science.

Thought Morley put in some cracking crosses today, nobody on the end of them though. Liked the prospect of playing two forwards, some good signs, would have taken a point before the match. Agree GJ looks a week link.
