  • Indeed. Great post . I was more alluding to how they view us and being more up for it than us and us failing to deal with it time after time. Same with Wigan. We spent years just pretending

  • Evatt was sacked because he wasn't getting the best out of a squad HE had built over the course of a few years. Schumacher had half a season to assess it, and he's basically scrapped the lot and start

  • Bloody hell mate come on. What's the point if we don't get up for derbies? May as well all pack up and not bother ffs. These games are what it's all about.

Should have had that

Dalby screaming for it to be played in early every time, but we don't.

Finally got one into him and probably should have hit the target

It's not rocket science is it!

That "foul" by Dalby was identical to the pen he didn't give.

Well we didn't lose, but so very frustrating

why are we not crossing when we signed two target men... this is idiot level stuff.

Ah well, could have lost, should have won.

Plenty still to do.

Robbed of 2 points there by incompetent officials. Again. Absolute sickener.

Gale, Burstow and Cogley all hobbling..

If we can’t beat that Blackpool side we never will at there place

So frustrating.

Wingers not being utilised as proper wingers at times.

Get them on the "grass" and do a week's practice on crossing.

Not good enough we've got 2 big lads up top so what do we do? fuck about with it at the back and slow the pace down

Get it in the fucking box

No we weren’t we should have won that because we were better, can’t keep blaming bad luck and refs.

The bit I don't get about SS's recruitment. First man through the door is a lad who thrives on crosses then followed by a succession of inverted winger types.

SS did give notice last season that he fancied inverted wingers but it doesn't make sense to me.

Table should show us having 18 points, such a shame again.

I can.

Was it just me or did he switch them for about 5-10 mins? Just after Dalby came on.

Nothing much happened and they soon switched back but it definitely looked like he was trying it at one stage.

BWFC: 17 shots, 4 on target and 1 goal

Blackpool:  6 shots, 1 on target and 1 goal

Common theme continues: high tempo, lots of possession. Really weak defensively. Unlucky with a few decisions. Fast CH and,  god knows how we would attract one, but 20 goal striker required

I've never really cared about the statistics, the underlying data, trusting the process, patiently waiting for it to click, etc. because I think it's possible to get lost in it all and begin excusing things that shouldn't be happening

I don't really care how we play, I just want us to find a way to win and once again we've failed to do that

Our backline is genuinely bad and a better team would've punished us

I think it comes back to the argument that's been made before - we're trying to overcomplicate things

These are third tier players, some of them very good ones, and we just need be more solid, harder to beat, and to do the basics well

We'd be much better off if we did so

It’s coming though - we’ve just absolutely hammered Blackpool at their place. You can pick fault all you want, but they are far far happier with a point than we are.

We did this a lot under Evatt. We’ve replaced like for like.

He swapped them over and they were worse on the other side. That actually stalled us as we lost momentum.

That's the type of player they are. They are modern wingers. Inverted wingers.  It's not fucking 1995 anymore. There's no Ryan Giggs in the modern game. They might need to work on the crossing but they both come inside like 90 percent of wingers nowadays.
