  • Anyone saying JDC was shit today are fucking loons.    Clean sheet. Got forward lots his energy is exceptional. His crossing ain’t great but we are a League One team our players are not perfect

  • Thought Cardiff looked a high level team at times, pressed us well and forced us to make rushed passes. But they were completely toothless. Not a single shot on target is just bizarre for a team that

It's 12 30 though

Reckon 1.5k tops

Read on one of their forums that they were hoping to bring around 2.5k.  Superb following for a Saturday midday tv game if true.

Reading about their 2-1 home win today, & it seems that their goalkeeper was their best player !!

Happened a few times this season, they give the opposition a lot of chances (especially at home)

Not hopeful of promotion until we string together a decent run of away results

22nd placed Reading had 26 shots away at Cardiff today.

We can certainly get at these at home.

... and scored one.

This has been our problem in a number of matches this season.

We take our chances and we should hammer this lot

Massive game this, we win, we are only 3 points behind them .They have the best away record in the division, that needs to change on Saturday.

Temperatures taking a little dip by weekend.

We like breaking runs now.  Wiggin H,  Huddersfield a and I,ll throw in we didn't lose at gonzo,s lot.

I expect nothing but 3 points on saturday,  get us into that top 6 mix.  Now did I see right on saturday,  Lincoln were top at 2.59 and then 6th at 5pm !

Even if we win on Saturday, thats what im expecting, we cant move up into the top 6, but we will certainly be in the mix then.

3 points from the top if we win (until the other five above us play)

If we lose we're effectively back in 10th place and 9 points off Cardiff, 8 points off Stevenage or Bradford and all having games in hand.

If we win, potentially 3 points off the top if those two draw, as well as Lincoln and Wimbledon not winning.  A longish shot I know.

Big potential swing either way, I think that's why they call these 6 pointers.

Can't believe we're looking at Stevenage and Wimbledon results hoping they don't win 😀 (although if we win I really don't care what the others do).

They were second as they just beat Stevenage who are still above them. Still, shows how tight it all is at the top, really need a win to get into that pack

we really need to back Huddersfield up and put a run together

I thought we would when we dicked wigan but we shat the bed

anyway, 2-2

When you look at that top six though you really can’t imagine them all staying there for the season. One or two might but despite all our crap results we’re still right in there and a win on Saturday would confirm it. We need to go on a bit of a run now and the next few games can really prove or otherwise our credentials.

So close points wise at the top end. We can't move any higher than we currently are even if we win by a cricket score but it certainly brings us right into the pack.

Lot of guesswork going on and yet no mention of the teams that have games in hand on us which could effectively put us in 10th or 11th if won - so realistically we can only focus on one game at a time and win every one.

True Lusty but as we found out points on the board are always better.

Yup - exactly why the likes of Stevenage, Bradford and Cardiff are sitting pretty but this year it seems like every game is a tough challenge for everyone so it’s going to be very tight at the top throughout the season. There are no runaway teams yet, and there are no whipping boys so it’s noses to the grindstone and total focus on mining every point we can. It’s the teams that take nothing for granted and fight for everything that will come out on top IMO.

Was never going to be easy this season with so many changes and players getting injured at the wrong time......Convinced this league is poor and as strange as this sounds i think the Evatt team of three seasons back would be out clear at the top of the league.

We need both Gale and Erhahon back soon, but we also need  Taylor, Forester, and Dempsey back in the first team fold sooner or later

Feel good factor with the contract extension for Conway.....Going 3-1  Burstow, Forss, Dalby   22,612

Feels misplaced suggesting the same team that played Huddersfield, because every time we seem to go the same following a good result we don’t follow it up!

But I’m really not sure who I would change for this and it seems a daft reason to change things!

Maybe because we are following up an away win rather than a home one, there’s every reason to believe that this set of players, who usually play well at home, will do so again.

TSL, Cogley, Conway, Toal, Johnston, Sheehan, Simons, Tutu, ACD, Forss, Burstow

Sureley Dempsey cant be far off a squad place - he had half a game against Citys kids in the pizza cup thing

No idea if Forino is expected to be fit.  But if he is, I can't think of a reason he wouldn't play.  If its just that we scored twice in injury time to win the last game I wouldn't count that, I'd want our best header of a ball back to play Cardiff because we'll have plenty of defending to do.

I do rate Toal by the way, and he's a threat attacking corners as Forino is, but he only played because of injury.

Logical. So can’t dispute it.

But I wonder what message this sends to Toal.

Good reasons for both to play.

SS has talked about coming into the side, taking your opportunity, which I think Toal has done.

I’m not saying it’s right/wrong, but I think it’s a decent enough reason for Forino not to play - The side that played Thursday played well as did the player who took your place.

I think there’s justification and reason for any combination of the 3. I’d be ok seeing any of those.
