Worth noting last season, Burstow made 8 starts in total, ACD only 6. Simons a few more (13). Bigger load for all of them by Xmas of this year. Dips understandable. Being better for a break, or coming off the bench for a bit, also understandable

Seeing it also to a lesser extent with Conway, only had one season previously with Crewe also plays better after having a small break

Apter is too desperate to score and its impeding all of his game and affecting ours. If he scored one of those sitters early doors it may be a different story but it isn't and nowt looks like it's going to change.

I hate to mention this….but…..did nt the ref do well to play the advantage for the first goal ? Could easily have blown when Tutu was fouled.

The lads obviously desperate to impress and it would help him if people got off his back and cut the insults. He’s obviously got ability but for whatever reason it’s not come off for him yet. As others have said, an early goal could have made a big difference but it didn’t happen but that’s no reason to right him off completely. I still think he’ll come good and the team doing well can only help that.

It's understandable given the circumstances and dvery credit to the ones who turned up, but I wondered if there's ever been a smaller away following for a league match at this stadium?

They need to keep the spirit of last night. It was a performance full of intent and tempo. Good teams in any league and any country begin to suffer when they play the game at a slow tempo and try to keep things safe. We can talk formations and team selection all we want but that intent and edge is so important. Bottle and it and keep it from now until the play offs are here.

And relatives of players no doubt.

Whenever some of the smaller clubs score goals away on TV (Salford/Accy etc) its noticeable quite a proportion of their tiny away following aren't fans at all, they've come to watch their nephew who's been dropped to the bench and have little interest in some other bloke scoring for a team they have no interest in.
