Politics - Part 2

Kemi Badenoch doesn’t really need to speak in public more than once a month and she’ll do ok. In that respect, keeping her head down is proving very effective.

Sniping from the sidelines and criticising everyone clearly has merit. 🙃

This is part 2 of the Politics discussion.

Do you have a pet name for 'him'? Does Kent look up at you whilst he's doing it?

Oh, or did you mean the EU when big Nige brought them to their knees?

I know and yet people still follow his two thousand years old 'teachings'. Laughable eh?

There's another mob who are even worse who follow the teachings of a paedophile.

Indeed, that MAGA lot are worse

Here we fucking go again. The man I 'idolise' drinks in the Cross Guns at Egerton.

The term 'big Nige' has fuck all to do with the mans physical stature, rather his political stature. Head and shoulders above any UK politician this century and probably since the 28th November 1990.

"You aren't laughing now, are you?".

😁 - you're so sensitive about 'Big Nige' aren't you sugar plum 😉

Unfortunately, it's all too true.

Seems a bit of an odd way to express support, but then again, if it pricks a few consciences, so be it.

Thank you.

From what I'm reading - it was always this system historically put the Tories moved it to FPTP in 2022 because it benefitted them.

So it's a return to the norm as much as anything? And presumably good news for smaller/independent candidates?

I'm not sure this makes them 'the most morally corrupt' government in history as the click bait would suggest 😁

whenever I hear anything like this or simialr to be critical of this Labour goverment, I can't believe whoever is saying it has already managed to forgot about the Tory's PPE scandal during COVID

I don't believe anything has come close to that in my lifetime, and probably won't

happy to be corrected if anyone of any party has come close that in terms of being corrupt

Burnham wins by a landslide.

Makes it an interesting next couple of weeks for the Labour Party. Starmer is signalling he’s going to dig in. I suspect it’s inevitable Burnham will be PM after such an huge victory - only question is how messy it’s going get.

When will the resignations start and who will be first? 🤔

Brexit cost 6% of UK economy, Bank of England company dat...

Analysis showed how much the UK could have grown if it had not exited the EU.

Another Brexit benefit.

Pretty messy I suspect. Labour are a bit of a shit show, with so many factions within their pool of MPs. A lot of very public infighting is on its way.

That's it lads. Gain power after 2 decades of a shit show and piss poor management with the country on its knees then just eat yourself alive and implode with reform lurking in the midst.

Bunch of self serving cunts. All of em.

without a doubt they'll start coming in over the weekend. Yvette Cooper will go first, followed fairly quickly by Shabana Mahmood I reckon

Not really sweet cheeks.

True - this 6% is mainly through lost growth though isn't it?

That's a lot of investment and opportunity we've missed out on as a result. And we've had found it much easier to increase defence spending.

Anyway - no point crying about it now. Although I might revisit it of we ever get involved in a hot war that we can't properly fight!
