Burndenboy Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 All the moments people have mentioned have been great i thought i would throw one in that hasn't been mentioned yet, Arsenal at the reebok a few seasons ago 2-0 up then Okocha rips them to shreds and Cygan gets dragged off being poor and "injured" yeah right!!! Oh and the Keown own goal. A great second half revival!!!
green genie Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Tommy Tynan scoring to make it 4-1 in 86. We'd been beat by wiggin 3-0 previous saturday after winning nine on the bounce and thought we'd blown promotion. Won last four games to clinch promotion and another false dawn.
Nowack Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Ricketts last minute equalizer against Leicester City.
Burndenboy Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 A glorious sunny afternoon a Bobic hatrick and a djorkaeff goal to virtually secure another season in the top flight!!! I no its more than 30 seconds but the whole afternoon was great the sun was shining and we played brilliantly!!! Oh and Ipswich got relegated that season what a shame.
Widnes Two Hats Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I quite enjoyed my first visit to Wembley watching Bolton come out against Bristol City Didn't think it was going to get much better than that
Burndens Bogs Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Jay Jay shrugging off Joe Cole, running half the length of the pitch before smacking it in the top corner, virtually put West Ham down and kept us up. 30 seconds of sheer bliss! That was nearly 3 years ago, time flies when..........etc etc
Guest YW Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Nathan Blake picking the ball up on the half way line at Grimsby skinning 5 players on his way to lashing it in in the 90th minute to win the game in season we stormed Div 1.
yardbones Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Trevor Morgan scoring in the 1989 Sherpa Van Cup Final against Torquay.

Wobbly J Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Robbie Savage at Wrexham 87/88- the turning point. Don't remember paying to get in either.
tyldesley_white Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Just after every goal we score is the best 30 seconds
exiledwhite2 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Game had finished, but leaving Goodison after the 3-2 cup win was quality "Owen Coyle, Owen Coyle, Owen Owen Coyle!!!"
BigUn Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Personally - most of these above I have seen. I have to say, that I enjoy every home game and away game because it's magic. That's what we go for. Because we love it all. Does anyone remember In Div 1, the Frandsen 30 yard freekick against Huddersfield in the 90th odd minute to equalise, the sames 40 yard effort in the 2nd minute against Birmingham ? Or Nathan Blake's 30 yard screamer against the baggies at Burnden, the 4-1 win at 'boro when we were knackered, the 0-0 at Oxford on that fecking cold Tues nt, All the trips to wembley, Trashmere, Reading, Villa, Lpool. Europe. The fantastic times in Bulgaria, Istanbul and Guimarares with the posters from this site. You Know who you are. It's just Fecking Fantastic being a Bolton Fan and is why I WILL always go amd enjoy myself.
BittyBattyRatty Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I quite enjoyed my first visit to Wembley watching Bolton come out against Bristol City Didn't think it was going to get much better than that Good call that. Although going 3-2 up against Reading was an unbelievable moment.
frank_spencer Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Not 30 seconds but watching super john play at goalies against reading whilst sunning myself in the giddy goose in tenerife!!! that and the coca-cola cup final in 95 was propper quality (me little bro told keggy keegle that he had 'silly hair')
Jol_BWFC Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 He might be a knob, but some of Ricketts' goals have led to top-notch moments for us whites. 2-2 v leicester was unbelievable, but for me the 30 seconds after his goal at cardiff cannot be beaten. the location, the importance of the goal and the tension that was released... what a moment - sheer ecstacy!!

I will have to add the goal against Arsenal he scored after Gardener had been sent off as a pretty good moment too.
Guest Uncle_Northy Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Robbie Savage at Wrexham 87/88- the turning point. Don't remember paying to get in either. What a day !!! i was going to go for fabian v reading . but when i saw this post , it made my mind up
Traf Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 40th minute in the Inonu Stadium, Besiktas. Smiley woke up, proclaimed that Fadiga was playing shite and went back to sleep.
RiCcI Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Jay Jay nocked that free kick in at the 2nd attempt against boro to keep us up, only for fat bastud ricketts to nearly ruin it
Guest Hugo Guthrie Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Most of what has been mentioned above Slightly obscure but still funny was seeing the turnips thrown at Graham Taylor when he came as manager of Wolves Then going on to trounce them 5-1
