Burndens Bogs Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) Immense yesterday, he sums up what BWFC are all about. He must be close to achieving the status of being a Bolton "legend" by now. Edited November 25, 2007 by Burndens Bogs
Guest Chris Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Immense yesterday, he sums up what BWFC are all about. He must be close to achieving the status of being a Bolton "legend" by now. 100% agree with you there mate. His battles with Evra were a joy to watch, and imo he IS a Bolton legend Speaking of legends, Per Frandsen was under the stands at half time

no balls Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Agreed. The commitment of the whole team was to be greatly admired yesterday, but Davies performance stood out. Ferguson accused Davies of being a no more than a bully. No mate, that was whole-hearted commintment to the cause. Being a bully is trying to intimidate a ref at half time!
Zozzy Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Kevin Davies is one of my favourite players of all time. I have been a big fan for ages. How he didn't get in the England squad in Germany in front of Owen, Crouch and Walcott etc. I will never know

magic legs Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 It was a joy to watch Kev take Evra out. A good old fashioned boneshaking tackle.
Ratwhite Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Plenty of good tackles today. Great to see Dioufy gettin stuck in too.
HomerJay Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 the absolute consummate professional footballer
Smiffs Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Kevin Davies is one of my favourite players of all time. I have been a big fan for ages. How he didn't get in the England squad in Germany in front of Owen, Crouch and Walcott etc. I will never know When Chesterfield knocked us out of the cup in the late 90's, this young upstart bagged a hat trick and made Big Mad Ged Taggart look like Lilly Savage. I thought he was superb then, it went wonky for him after that, but he proving his worth in the last couple of years. Look at our form and results when he is missing. The bloke is the single most important figure in the squad for me. Plus he kicks fcuk out of tarts.
Carlos Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 For Chesterfield he outpaced our defence!!! I think Julian Darby was playing centre back so it was entirely possible.
tylswhite Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 The scum players shat themselves whenever he went near them yesterday, its like he hadnt been fed for months! he was battering them at will. Was one of the most committed performances ive seen in a white shirt. That tackle on Evra was fantastic
Womble Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 For Chesterfield he outpaced our defence!!! I think Julian Darby was playing centre back so it was entirely possible. Julian Darby left about 4 years earlier
Carlos Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Julian Darby left about 4 years earlier Aye, someone was playing out of position though.
Smiffs Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I think we had Fairclough and Tagart as centrebacks that night. Roberto Carlos and Paulo Maldnini were the full backs. They never made the grade though so we got shut of them.
Loft Nuthouse Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 agree with all said, love the fella. But what really impressed me was the timing Megson brought him off ( oohh ) just before the scum could try once more to get him sent off. TOP MAN
Smiley Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Thing is, as well as dishing it, he took some fookin' blows himself. Evra floored him with one foul that would have resulted in a yellow card - apart from the get-out-clause that comes with wearing a Red MUFC shirt.

TrickyTrotter Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 BWFC v Chesterfield 4.2.97. Ward Green Small Pollock Taggart Fairclough Frandsen Johnasen Blake (Lee 69) Thompson Not that bad a team for the time! Super Super Kev!!!
fester58 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 kevin davies is indeed a top player for us, but the formation we play means he must score more goals. recently he's missed 3 excellent chances, braga, villa and munich which a quality striker must score.
scoobydoo Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 up there with bergsson for best signings of recent times.
MickyD Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 How he didn't get in the England squad in Germany in front of Owen, Crouch and Walcott etc. I will never know One word: BOLTON

Here Here. The red nosed bastard has the cheek to call us in your face and intimidating then gets in the refs face and intimidates him! Got to say though, Clatttenburg was a prick. I thought it was nailed-on that he'd end up giving them a penalty just to protect their unbeaten run.
