Arnold Jackson Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Well I don't know about youse guys, but I have my football top over my head and am doing an aeroplane round the house at this signing... It's not the 'Anelka replacement' I was hoping for, but I'm not gonna let that spoil my celebrations. Come on You Whites!
Bobcat Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 They have more points George... please do not state the blindingly obvious to the blind....
Rembrandt Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 1. That point cost about ?30m then. 1 point could put us down come May. Goal difference did it last time ! ?30m ? If they can afford it, cheap at the pirce if they stay up. Shame we don't have that sort of money.
Rembrandt Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I'm not getting in a fluster about this Who the hell did you folk think we would sign? Rasiak could be a shrewd signing - he is plenty good enough for a squad player If we bring in a Roberts at the last minute I'll deem it a successful transfer window all in all Diouf and Davies and Rasiak and Roberts, that's four to choose from with the Vaz on top and Stelios / Nolan / Taylor who can get a goal from midfield too And 2 defenders in too - strengthened all round Stop freaking out you girls We've signed Roberts ? When did that happen ?
tyldesley_white Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 We've signed Roberts ? When did that happen ? Read the bloody post before your reply he said "IF"
ChezneyHawkes Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 1 point could put us down come May. Goal difference did it last time !?30m ? If they can afford it, cheap at the pirce if they stay up. Shame we don't have that sort of money. If we had the fan base we probably would.
wanderer13 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I presume Rasiak is just a back up plan - and a low rent one at that. If you class Dioufy as an attacking midfielder/ winger then this is probably the pecking order for our forward line when fit: Davies Helguson Vaz Te Rasiak Harsanyi Here's hoping Megson has something up his sleeve or I fear for our future and the ?5m defender we just bought will have to be sold at the end of the season when we go down!!!
jolly-olly Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 at least i'm not the only one who can see this. FFS megson was after eidur, who if he'd have signed would shut the whinging feckers up. we could bid for strikers til the cows come home but if the clubs don't want to sell or the players don't want to sign for us then there's fcuk all the club can do. Our club didn't have to sell Anelka so there was something the club could do.
tyldesley_white Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 [/b] Our club didn't have to sell Anelka so there was something the club could do. Chelsea have just a little bit more pulling power then we have
jolly-olly Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Chelsea have just a little bit more pulling power then we have Agreed but we were under no pressure to sell. He had just signed a long term contract and we could have waited until the summer. Anelka went on record as saying he was happy and would not consider it a punishment if he had to stay.
stevieb Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) aye but he would have been a sulk and not give it 100% i seen him in 'action' near the end of his city spell and he was a lazy bastard who wouldnt run for a ball for nowt! Edited January 31, 2008 by stevieb
blackleywhite Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 aye but he would have been a sulk and not give it 100% i seen him in 'action' near the end of his city spell and he was a lazy bastard who wouldnt run for a ball for nowt! Eggsfukinzackerley. Knumb as a piss-stone some people. We'll be reet.
jolly-olly Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Eggsfukinzackerley.Knumb as a piss-stone some people. We'll be reet. Is that directed at me?
Big E Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 [/b] Our club didn't have to sell Anelka so there was something the club could do. i don't understand. We can afford to turn down ?15 million for one player because.....
george Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Is that directed at me? I wouldn't worry about being labelled numb by someone who thinks it begins with a K, olly.
blackleywhite Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Is that directed at me? If the cap fits, yes. How can you say we were under no pressure to sell? As soon as a player with the track record of Anelka is offered what he wants, you either sell or he sulks and does not perform until you do. If you can't see that, then you are as knumb as a piss-stone. Like I said on an earlier topic, we have not chosen not to sign anyone. We have not chosen to leave it til the last minute. That is the perogative of the player we are chasing. If nothing better transpires, they may come back to us, they may choose to stay where they are. OR they may "bite the bullet" and choose to join an unfasionable club who are hovering around the relegation zone. Silly person.
blackleywhite Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I wouldn't worry about being labelled numb by someone who thinks it begins with a K, olly. I ripped up an untarnished 79 home because of that remark. I hope you are happy.
deputy dogger Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 We are the laughung stock of the premier league, championship here we come !!
blackleywhite Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 i bet he's knot No retort to the post then? Thought not. Thick as shite.
george Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I ripped up an untarnished 79 home because of that remark.I hope you are happy. The only one worth more than a pound is the one from the game against Liverpool that was postponed on Feb 10. So the odds are that it will be easy to replace.
stevieb Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Shit off, i was on your side you clown! Pick a fight in an empty room you, as i said earlier, if we'd have kept the elk after a big offer from elsewhere he wouldve spat his dummy out. Now take a valium and a bottle of red wine and simmer down son!
dannyc2 Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 we will be fine when vaz te returns the pace and power them slippery boots
