Traf Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Any comfirm this that Diouf, Nolan, Davies, Gardner and Jussi have handed in transfer requsts?Dont blame them if Megson and Gartside are staying Jussi is out of contract in less than 8 weeks time: why would he put a transfer request in?
craignaylor Posted April 3, 2008 Author Posted April 3, 2008 I were thinking that but still possible about the others. All to Hull with Phil Brown when they get promoted?
Traf Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I were thinking that but still possible about the others. All to Hull with Phil Brown when they get promoted? Are you on glue? Why would they want to join another relegation-threatened club? Whoever comes up from the pop league will go straight back down.
M G WHITES Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I were thinking that but still possible about the others. All to Hull with Phil Brown when they get promoted? Right. WE ARE NOT DOWN YET, HULL FFS.

Boothy Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Diouf is the most obvious one. Jussi is off anyway. The rest I think will remain with the club. Nolan perhaps for one season and after that who knows.

Widnes Two Hats Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 If I had unlimited amounts of money, I'd make sure that anybody who handed a transfer request, never played in the first team again And I'd drive past their houses each evening and throw sh?te smeared bricks through their windows Then I'd have them 'punishment beaten' each time they left their houses That would teach the nancy boys If I have to watch Bolton in w?nk leagues then they should be forced to play football in w?nk leagues, it's their fault in the first place In fact, I'm off to study contract law so I can have some templates drawn up just in case I win the Euro lottery tonight
Sweep Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Any comfirm this that Diouf, Nolan, Davies, Gardner and Jussi have handed in transfer requsts? Even if players do want to leave, why would they hand in a transfer request a few weeks before the season ends? - anybody wanting to leave would wait until after the last match of the season I would have thought. As Traf points out, Jussi is out of contract, so wouldn't need to hand in a request. Gardner is injured, so I don't see why he would hand in a request, it's not like clubs would be beating his door down, at least until he is fit. Nolan is the club captain, so what message would that send out to his won team, and what would prospective teams think about a player who does that when his is club captain?

jayjayoghani Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Gardner is out-of contract too. http://archive.theboltonnews.co.uk/2008/2/16/1075878.html Relegation fight leaves star quartet in limbo From the The Bolton News, first published Saturday 16th Feb 2008. THE threat of relegation has left four of Wanderers' most high-profile players in limbo. Jussi Jaaskelainen, Ivan Campo, Ricardo Gardner and Stelios - all of whom have played a major part in establishing the club as a Premiership force - are all out of contract at the end of the season.
magic legs Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 (edited) Jussi's gone. Campo can do one. I wouldn't offer Stelios a contract either unless we could halve his wages for a one year deal. Ricky is a tricky one.....he's better than Samuel but with his injury proned nature shoudl we offer him a new deal? Edited April 4, 2008 by magic legs

Traf Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Gardner owes it to the club to stay IMO. However we wouldn't have the massive debt if we didn't have to pay his medical bills.
