How the fcuk do you know? He put reserves out last season because of desperate circumstances, that doesnt mean he will do it all the time. Allardyce played reserves in every cup as stated above.

Well his priority is to stay in the Prem full stop and unless we are guaranteed safety Gary Megson will always prioritise staying up over the cups.
