Beats me how you can make any reliable predictions this season. It will be closer than people think for us.

The three worst teams are probably the three promoted teams but they have got spirit and are all capable of surprise wins.

I dont think we will get more than 40 pts because I can see us drawing quite a few we expect to win.

Hope I'm wrong and we coast home!

9 to go, draw all of em and we're home and hosed!

Although we've only drawn 3 all season mind you.

The pattern for the season says we will win a few and lose a few more.

Only WBA have lost more than us this season.

Doing the BBC thingy : 16th with 40 points, but only 2 points ahead of the drop.

WBA, Newcastle & Sunderland down. Hull in 17th.

Would be relieved at that, given recent form. But wouldn't represent much of an improvement for the money spent.

Still, let's wait & see what really happens.

I've got us in 9th with Pompey, Boro and WBA all down. Although at 37 matches Boro could stay up and the teams still relegatable are Stoke, Hull, Sunderland, Newcastle, Pompey and Rovers from 38-35 points with Boro on 33. That would be an interesting final day!

Did you have us winning home to Sunderland? If so, then draw that and we go down!

If I was a betting man, I would give you a few quid against that.

Stoke's next 4 games are: Middlesbrough (H), WBA (A), Newcastle (H), Blackburn (H). With their home form, I reckon they have a good chance of being safe after that run of games.

I thought we were too good, but I'm having my doubts now.

I'm praying that Jackburn & Newcastle go down, I just hope BSA doesn't have the last laugh with the dingles finishing above us.

Megsons bought well, but is still the luckiest man alive to be managing a PL team, I imagine his comments would be 'we went down, but that was the fans fault, my mate Phil Gartside agrees with me'.

Thee bookies have the bottom 3 as being

Boro (5/6 to evens for the drop)

Stoke (8/11 generally)

WBA (1/8 to 1/25!)

Skybet have us as 12/1 for the drop.

The more pessimistic amongst you could have ???35 on it and if we went down, there's your ???400 to pay for the next 2 season tickets deal.

Oliver Holt (Daily Mirror) had us,Stoke and WBA down on the Sunday Supplement. Not sure what he doesn't like about us.

Another guy on the show went for all 3 north east teams.

If we carry on playing like we have in the last two we are down, but we wont :good:

18th Portsmouth

19th Hull

20th W.B.A

Fingers crossed we get our fingers out and make the end of the season less exciting, i dont like exciting finales

Na,you know we can do it when we want and we will do it enough again this season to keep us up

I feel if we cant win Saturday then it will be us. If not theres always next season. It'll happen soon.

Might see what odds i can get before Saturdays game.
