Sweep
I went a couple of years ago to a resort near to Bodrum, it was pretty decent actually (we drove through Bodrum, and it looked like hell on earth though)

waffer cup 07
Olu Deniz is beautiful fairly quite, with Hisaroni much livelier a mile away and Fethia about 3 miles away for a larger resort. We loved it have also been to Side and this year going to Kusadasi. If you want it hot and sunny and a mix of east and western cultures its the place. no balls
Reet, as promised, this is her mail: Here are my suggestions for Turkey holiday. Honestly, I don't prefer to go mediterranian/Aegean coasts on July-August period as it is really too hot( around 35-40 degrees). The best time is June and September 1 ? Oludeniz (blue lagoon, Fethiye) Here is some pictures for the area. Standart basic hotels, 5 stars hotels, camps and all inclusive hotels are available. On this area, some water-sports are available. http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&am...=4&ct=title 2- Patara beach, Kalkan, Kas, For Kalkan, Patara, http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&am...0&oq=patara For kas , http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&am...mp;aq=f&oq= Those are quite small cities but nice beaches. Especially Patara is the longest beach of Mediterranean side of the Turkey. For Patara, sea is with yellow/brown sand but at Kas, it is small stones (pebble ?) And, diving is very popular in Kas. If you go this place, you must take a boat trip to bays (but not to entertainment ones, reall bay tours. Go away from the boats which have music loudly!! ;- ) Place to go daily from 1-2 options : Kalekoy (pls see picture attached), Butterfly valley(kelebekler vadisi)(one of my favorite place!!! ), Dalyan (Caunos), Gokova, Marmaris?? some images are on below web pages. http://images.google.co.uk/images?gbv=2&am...G=Search+images http://images.google.co.uk/images?gbv=2&am...G=Search+images 3- Gocek ; which is favorite place for the yatchs? There are lots of beatifull and nature bays around this area. But mainly quiter than others. 4- Bodrum ; very famous and crowded place but nice beaches and buys.( night life is very popular as well) 5- Others; Marmaris, In generally, accommodation details and transport should be checked carefully.Transport from airport to hotel might be problem as it may take a few( 3-4 maybe? ) hours driving by car/bus. So, it is better to check before booking to see pick-up service availability.

Athywhite_Mike
Just landed back from Marmaris, Turkey on Monday Morning. Absolutely loved the place apart from the constant mithering from resturaunt owners but you get that most places I suppose. Stayed in the Blue Bays Hotel, was brilliant all inclusive, food was great as was the Tuborg lager . Beaches wern't very good in Marmaris but the resort down the road, Icmeler, had nicer ones. Whether was boiling too, touching 42 degress most days. If you do go all inclusive but fancy a bite to eat out one night I very highly recommend Natalie's Steak House. I would say it was the best steak I've ever had. Oh, there was one problem with the Blue Bays Hotel though, it was full of Russias, Everton, Boro and Newcastle Fans.
