If we are going back to former whites then what about Mario Jardel, he's a proven goal scorer at the highest level.....maybe worth another punt......OR MAYBE NOT !!

If that's true, how many points has Megson sulking with Samuel and Steinsson cost us so far this season?

We've only dropped 6 points all season, does that answer your question?

We are being lead to believe, that we have no money to spend on transfers and are merely in the market for loan signings. If this in fact the case then I believe that this will constitute poor management of the highest order, as the whole of our budget will have been blown on defenders, that were not a priority for us. However if this is merely posturing for reduced prices then I guess we will have to admire Megson's prowess in getting deals at the right price. So in summary, Megson will be shown to be either a wily old cat and be praised or a complete tosser and be berated by the fans...........5 days and counting!....Lets hope he comes good! (Nolan for nothing would be a start but wont add too much to the squad).

im being optimistic but this is the way i'd like to read it

we've had out ?6mill bid for that emana turned down, we need another midfielder, who will score goals, so why not loan a player who can score goals or at least cause trouble in the box, and use the money which was going to go on emana on a striker?

im in an optimistic mood today!

Ideally we need a midfielder playmaker to get the best out of Nolan, failing that then we must play him in an attacking midfield role.

Elmanders not scored since Nolan left, not that he's scored many mind but the ones he did Nolan certainly had an assist on 2 of them ( 40% )

Theres a quote from the bolton news on the bolton news website as well

"He was important to the football club and he's a good lad, he gives it everything he's got. In the dressing room he's a great leader."

Megson is rapidly turning in to a one trick pony - we don't need leaders in the dressing room or players who give everything as being top of their CV's - lets try craft, guil and quality for once.

No dis-respect to kevin great lad, great servant but million miles from what we need to move forward.

Nobby is Bolton through and through and i'de like to see him back where he belongs... But:

A) He's no better than what we've already got

B) Who would he replace? Sean Davis? Mark Davies? Both i feel are better players than Nolan

C) Can't see him sitting on the bench week in week out either.

That's the thing innit? It's hard to slag off Nolan, he's been at the centre of all that's been good about Bolton for almost 10 years. But I presumed he was replaced (with Davis) and we were on the hunt for someone with a bit more of a football brain and a decent pass.

If he's as well as the flair/attacking player, that's fine n dandy, if he's instead of...that's a bit of a worry.

He was sold because he dared to question GM. Stiensson and Jlloyd were dropped for exactly the same thing.

Moral is, don't f?ck with GM if you're merely a player.

I have all of the above on good authority.

not sayin this is wrong, but when he subbed campo and he stormed off and kicked up a fuss (obv quetioning him)

he made him a captain for the next match

the guy is a a very big man of double standards and that is something i (and a lot of others) cant stand about him.

yet again, a piece of news is turned into a vehicle for a little more megson bashing.

With him being our manager and therefore one of the main protagonists in signing players I think comments about megson are inevitable on a thread like this and most threads to do with terrace talk a manager is perhaps the most important man at a club and there is a difference between megson bashing, a bit a gentle piss taking and well balanced arguments pointing out his apparent flaws.
