stevieb Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Which one? Â Harry. He did alright in it to be fair. Â Only reason the Mrs wanted to go is because it had him and Tom Hardy in it. #damp Quote

Underpants Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Baby Driver. Heard some good things about this so my expectations were high. Kermode, who I like, "loved it, loved it, loved it". Â Very disappointing. Heat + Fast And Furious ~ La La Land = 4.9/10 Quote
Smiley Posted July 29, 2017 Author Posted July 29, 2017 Horrible Bosses. With the kids present. Again. Think the last time we watched it they were with us! Had to go make a brew when Jennifer was getting all dressed up in her gear. Quote

He's from Holmes Chapel and has done a lot to support the Freya Lewis who goes to the local school and was caught up in the Manchester Arena bombing. Aye, his Mum used to work in an office the floor above there Mrs Jules works in Wilmslow and apparently he popped in and was a really nice lad according to all Quote
Underpants Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Dunkirk. Ok. If I was to compare it to Private Ryan I would say Ryan is a far better film. Quote
DIPS Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Finally got round to watching Lego Batman. Great movie. Lots of humor for adults and as good as The Lego Movie. Good for easy wind down viewing. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Just back from watching Dunkirk. Busiest cinema screening I've been to in a LONG time. Â Thankfully somehow managed to avoid knowing Styles was in it, I only knew when Mrs mentioned it at the end. All the better for it as it meant I didn't have any prejudices about the acting, and fair fucks to him he was very good playing what in any other situation would be a very unlikeable character. Â If comparing to Saving Private Ryan I'd say 107 minutes doesn't do it justice, but then again what possibly could? I did think more could have been done to emphasise the sheer scale of the operation though; I expected a lot more shots of thousands upon thousands of soldiers on the beach, but even doing the aerial shots it only looked like a few dozen at a time.
