my favourite food in the town centre - apart from thesupperbar, yum yum - was as a kid

my mum used to shop in town most saturdays and cos my dad worked nights i got dragged with her

cos she couldn't fcuking park, we had to be there before t was light!

anyway, got to the market hall and she used to get me a meat pie and a glass of vimto to stop me moaning and if i was really lucky an enid blyton book - i must sound like didledumb

if we were in a rush, i had to make do with a sarsaparilla

when you think back, its criminal whats happened to the market hall

My mother did. My dad used to go mental. Not as mental as the time she bought cheap loo roll like, but still, mental enough to put the newspaper down.

It was Wimpy before it was Pizzaland wasn't it? Previously Wimpy was in the corner of the town hall square.

McDonalds is evil as I liked Wimpy when I was a kid.

Wimpy was where ELC is now, and PizzaLand was facing it in what is a phone shop, we used to park on Market Street side of Burtons and I rememmber there was a really fit dark haired bird who worked in PizzaLand which might explian my waistline at the time.

I'm fairly sure that Pizzaland was on the same side as ELC.

They had an upstairs bit and you could get coke floats in there.

pizzas were bird wasant ha :pardon: back in your youth you never did it out doors pissed up

Funnily enough, not in a Bolton town centre alleyway with the sort of person who'd tell all & sundry in years to come.

It's a downside of being stuck up clearly & something I really wish I'd done.

I think that Orignally Pizzaland was on the other side of the road, then moved into that building ... wasn't Burger King in there to start with???

I seem to recall a slice of Pizza with Jacket Potato and Coleslaw being the order of the day!
