Obviously is a word used by people who can't put up a proper argument for or against. It is there to try to convince others that he knows what he is talking about and puts a bit of doubt in the mind of those being spoken to.

Obviously. :good:

That's fine. I'm on about when it is being used by the likes of John Terry.....he says it in nearly every interview now.

He's an ill-educated penis so whatever he says is irritating.

I'm fucking sick of hearing the word "brave" banded around.

To me, being brave is what frontline soldiers do, or jumping into the middle of a fight to protect someone even though you know you're likely to get a damn good pasting.

Instead, on Saturday morning, I must've heard it at least a dozen times being used to describe a team that had just lost a game of rugby.

Also, and this might be a bit controversial, why is it that EVERYONE who dies from a terminal illness, "fought it bravely"? :pardon:

It also gets on my wick when people use words they clearly don't know the meaning of. For example, "I was literally over the moon." Now unless you're Neil Armstrong or Buzz Aldrin, methinks you probably need to look in the dictionary.

Now were you really sick when you heard the word brave. Tell the truth now. And do you have a wick. If so what is it that gets on it when you hear someone say that they were over the moon.

I found out what that stood for the other week. & I think it's one of those things I haven't seen but probably shouldn't either.
