I've got a mate lives up there, has done nigh on 20 years now. I keep threatening on going up NYE as she says even I'd love it. They do house parties where they just move from house to house, but always go to the torchlight parade on 30th which is supposed to be cracking.

Primal Scream are doing Princes St this year.

I also love boxing day especially after a home game and a win, if we dont beat the toon on boxing day I shall officaly draw a close to this season.

I hate the festive period full stop. You can't get in a pub for people who haven't been out since last year, with their "we always sit here" and gangs of women who all want to pay seperately, and don't get their money out until they have been served then they can't find find their purses in a bag that's bigger than the one I take on my holidays,and it's "no, I owe you 27 pence because I have lime in mine and you don't" to their loud mate.

Enforced jollity from the first Christmas do, to the "best go out for a few it's back to work tomorrow". The only thing that sees me through is the fact that I'm going away for a week in February.
