Breightmet Boy Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 It's looking very grim, unless the Administrator is just trying to get as much money as he can through the 'Donate' button at the top of the page. http://m.skysports.com/article/football//7557656 If you ask me it's not worth a FA Cup win Quote

I really hope they go bust along with rangers as that may give football a reality check Quote
DazBob Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I feel sorry for the fans. I ask though, why were serious questions not asked when they were throwing money around on the likes of Crouch, Defoe, Diarra, etc? Quote
little whitt Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I feel sorry for the fans. I ask though, why were serious questions not asked when they were throwing money around on the likes of Crouch, Defoe, Diarra, etc? did thay not get ?24 million for diarra of madrid Quote

Walkden26 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Fuck 'em. They deserve to go out of business. They didn't sell their keeper in January because he didn't want to leave. They owe a lot of money and should be selling their assets at what they can gets to stump up the money they owe to the taxman. If I owe the taxman they take my car and house - they should give their stadium if they own it. Quote
pato Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 will it be same with Rangers? Knowing the way football is all that will be left would be the naming rights for Ibrox The Inland Revenue Arena? Quote
cheekybwfc Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Just been listening to the administrator on talksport, he said mid April at best, if no one comes in that's it, plus if they fold before the end of the season Southampton will go top of the championship.. Quote
no balls Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Some Billy Bigbollocks weekend millionnaire with a massive ego & matching dodgy accountant to vouch for him will probably turn up. It's not like the fit and proper checks are worth anything. Quote
DIPS Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I'm with Walkden on this, fuck em. Their FA Cup win European tour was at the expense of someone else. Couldn't give a shite about their fans, their club was being run illegitimatley and should suffer the same consequences others in the same situation would do. Quote
Danny G Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Ben Haim is still drawing 35k a week apparently- Madness Quote
cheekybwfc Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 If they fold the players will still get full pay from the PFA apparently, so no wonder the players don't give a monkeys at times like this. Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I feel sorry for the fans. I ask though, why were serious questions not asked when they were throwing money around on the likes of Crouch, Defoe, Diarra, etc? Thats because people like Harry Rednap was making lots of money out the buying and selling Quote
HR Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Some Billy Bigbollocks weekend millionnaire with a massive ego & matching dodgy accountant to vouch for him will probably turn up. It's not like the fit and proper checks are worth anything. Nail on. Why can't the players all turn out for less than 10 k per week? Keeps them going financially and keeps them in the shop window. Too many people looking after their own interests, luckily we have someone prepared to back a non existent business model. Let's only hope it saves his tax bill. Quote
Guest bwfcdan Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Club can't afford to pay for the bulk of away tickets from Reading so Pompey fans have to buy direct from Reading. Quote
Globetrotter Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 There but for the grace of god and all that ... I'd be sad to see them go to the wall tbh, good football town is Pompey and at the end of the day the fans don't deserve this (no football fan does but I can think of other clubs I wouldn't be sorry to see go). I lived there in the early 90's and I recall the fans being bullshitted to then about a new ground etc and it escalated when venables took over and has been a disaster ever since (tho they had a good cup day out). And West Ham won't be in the top 3. Let the fuckers fold. Quote
gonzo Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 their past 3 owners are owed about 20 million quid, and money will go to them before anyone. it would be best if they just fucked it all off, wound up and started a fresh in the blue sqaure south. they would be back in the league with a new ground in ten years. and john westwood would have to have his name and million tattoos changed to Afc Pompey.... Carlos Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 The FA will bail them out to save West Aaaaaam. Quote
