gonzo
The wind switches north and then east for a week or so according to bbc. That's fucking lovely news. Will be chilly be but at least it will be clear if that direction stays the same. Always clear from the north and east.
Compo
@thegonzo When describing wind, if someone mentions say an easterly breeze does that mean blowing from the east or to the east?

Site Supporter Spider Posted October 31, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted October 31, 2016 Don't leave us hanging! There's a non native breed called the harlequin ladybird that's killing all the normal ones. They are black with red spots

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 31, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted October 31, 2016 Been loads of ladybirds for a while. Often collect the lad after school and wait for him by one of them green telecoms boxes. Watch ladybirds chasing aphids on it. Passes the time. One leapt on me earlier too but couldn't bring myself to squash it even if it was a herlequin.
Andydee
Had to evict another 8 from daughter's bedroom tonight. The natives looked like they were about to fight back against these harlequins, four of them (red with black spots) were mobbing up together on one wall with one solitary black with red spots on the other wall. She called me in another 3 times for individual ones, 2 black and red and one native!
