In my experience Metal gigs are much much friendlier than indie gigs.

Got a great story about my Mrs at Download with some twat who was acting the dick with all the girls, she went for him and this viking type just launched him into the distance saying, I should have done that an hour ago. No place for cunts at metal gigs.

I went to metal gigs before I went to Indie and I was a bit socked how many knobs there where after everyone looked after folk at metal gigs.

The best way to describe it is if you've got a bolton top on, you are OK and everyone Will look out for you because everyone else hates us, and we don't do this to be cool.

I could never go to the match then go on to a house/techno night, all the E's in the world couldn't cheer me up if defeated, nor take the edge off the testosterone if we'd won, I'd usually just be indifferent in the event of a draw - even a good one.

I always preferred Friday night nights.

My drinking prowess isn't what it was, two bottles of Cava, eight Guinness and three Hobgoblin will probably be enough for 24hrs, that would've been an aperitif ten years ago.

But, you won't get me to say that Ludovico Einaudi is classical music despite him being the most popular composer in the last 20 years (you all know his stuff, it's call Dream of Ice or Water or something and it's used on TV programmes) 

Same as Liam Gallagher's music is just derivative, boring rubbish. If you want to tap yer foot to rock n roll listen to the Dead Boys or other early CBGBs stuff.

In my particular favourite genres field theres acts that bring thousands to shows. 

Acts like Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike will attract 30/40k to massive open air events across europe, Swedish House mafia the same. Its just dance music for masses. Teams of kids bouncing about Ushia in muscle vests thinking they're are pioneers of electronic music. Good on em like, but couldn't be further detached from the proper stuff.

DJs like Scott Project and the current Belfast/Glasgow scene with David Rust and Billy Giles is proper producers, producing live sets.

On LG, I've said before, I love the bloke. Was my idol as a kid, got me into music and dont care what anyone says Oasis was a proper golden era. The whole world remembers those first 3 albums. Theres been nobody thats dominated a scene like it since.

LG does what he does with a whiny voice, a bit of swagger and some decent clobber. Fair fucks to the bloke. He puts on a good show and that's all that counts.
