not sure i understand what you mean, but i think you may have answered your own question. steinson may not be the best full back in the league, but going off his recent performances then don t think he deserves to be dropped. body language alone its a no brainer, steinsons fist pumping and whole hearted aproach , where as alonso today when the going got tough, did nt want to know. i know who i woulld want along side me in the trenches.

I have seen some people saying Petrov worked hard. Fuck me it's just a token jog back. The second goal was embarrassing. They broke and everyone was sprinting back. When the goal went in Petrov was the furthest player forward just watching. Joke. Not saying it his all him, but if you look every time our wingers got the ball their full backs got back up from other midfielders. That is what is wrong with the shape of our team. If we are going to play shit at least you have to be solid. The third goal was simple triangle passing and they were in. Far too easy to break down even when we are playing 4-5-1. We need players that are going to work their bollocks off to cover our lack of spark and if we ain't got that we are fucked. If the excuse of tiredness comes out then they can fuck off with that aswell.

it's just my opinion... out of everyone on the pitch alonso looked the far worst to me, didnt manage to tackle duff once all game, always in the centre ball watching, lost the ball on the wing and fucking started walking back to our half. It was a shameful performance and i am not the only person who thinks so as everyone else i heard was talking about how shit he was playing in the pie line.

Duff has just turned 33 Alonso turned 21 in December. I reckon Duff could give alonso a 10 yard start in a race over the length of the pitch.

Totally agree. But we are where we are, today has gone. I still think we are in a better position than the other teams in the bottom 5, not just league position but our run in.

Alonso gave the ball away, couldn't keep up with Duff and then didn't have a clue how to stop him crossing. Seriously the poorest full-back we've had since Gerald Cid. Poor performance yes, but it's been a stressful few weeks, we have a paper thin squad and who are running on empty. We probably won't get anything at Newcastle but you never know. Not aimed at you Pato but why do I get the impression that there are a few on here who want us to lose so they can say 'I told you so' ?

Dont think there are many on here who want us to lose. We are all so pissed off because of the level of the performance and the fact that Alonso was selected after two attrocious games.

 

I am glad we are back in action Monday because we need something back from them lot; lets hope Owen gets them organised
