THunter Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 To call my post bullshit is over-egging it a touch. Aye, alright. I do agree on the confidence thing. Even in 2008, 4 points adrift with five to play I thought we might do it. Can't see us escaping now. Quote
magic legs Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Team of ball watchers it seems. Desperately need a defensive coach so that there aren't massive gaps between the centre halves, that people track their runners and we know how to defend as 2 banks of 4. Quote

I said as we walked out yesterday, well stomped, if we do have a defensive coach, he wants sacking. Quote

Rembrandt Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 So many valid criticisms in this thread. Most of the problems have been obvious since at least October. And no-one at the club has done anything to sort them out .......... chairman, manager, backroom staff, players. That's why we're most likely going down. Whether or not the owner is relieved or suicidal is unknown. PS : I had a brief dream last night about a headline saying Coyle had resigned. Ah, well, back to reality. Quote

How many times did Knight just go to sleep; like Klasnic he didn't want to be involved. Would have been much better to shove Boyata to CB, move Ricketts to his rightful position at RB and put on Alonso for the injured Wheater Quote

Casino Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 ball watching was it brunt who ran 40 yards into our box and almost got on the end of a long ball in the second half? Quote
kaydan Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Damage was done in the First half of season with inept team selections and naive tactics. I don't think Coyle could have done a lot differently recently. Injuries have robbed him of options in midfield. Players are dead on their feet. Quote
tylswhite Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Who was it who played Morrsion on late on? He was virtually stood on the fucking line but some dopey twat in the middle was stood next to Bogdan. I didnt see who it was because as soon as it hit the net i fucked off. Quote

derek smalls Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 We faced relegation under Allardyce (3 seasons in a row IIRC), but I never actually thought we'd go down. I also never expected relegation under Megson, but i've expected this season for quite a while. ditto Quote

SeanBW Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 ditto You expected Bolton to stay up when after getting thrashed at Aston Villa they had to get 4 points from Middlesbrough away and Tottenham away? Sorry, don't believe you. Quote
derek smalls Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 yes i did. i thought it was possible as they had enough about them. this lot just arent good enough. i was talking with some pals yesterday about a conversation we had in early august which pretty much revolved around shit team, shit signings, shit manager, arrogant chairman, we`re fucked. i wonder if gartside still has his idea of shutting the trap door now? Quote
Ghana White Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I can't believe we've still got a chance of staying up. What happened to teams coming to bolton and getting roughed up. Megson ripped the heart out of us and Coyle replaced it with championship players and tactics. The way Coyle handled the muamba situation was incredible, he's clearly a great bloke but unfortunately he's not up to it Quote
chorley Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Lacks experience at this level (possibly out of his depth to), why not surround yourself with people with that experience? Quote
Rembrandt Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Lacks experience at this level (possibly out of his depth to), why not surround yourself with people with that experience? I can only guess that's a part of his naivety and stubborness. Quote
Eddie Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Lacks experience at this level (possibly out of his depth to), why not surround yourself with people with that experience? Because then his mates would be out of a job. Theres a guy that must be solely responsible for set pieces, because every time we are defending one he gets up and stands in the technical area with a piece of paper shouting instructions like its a fucking NFL play. Now I don't know if its just me being harsh, but the amount of times we've conceded from corners and free-kicks this season, how the fuck is he still in a job? Quote
