erm...you never been in sams bar then?

Chorley used to be an amusing night out. I hear it's gone a bit grim these days though, sadly.

Its a poor do when your wetherspoons is your number 1 pub.

That's spooky as those were nigh on the exact words of a mate from Chorley as we were discussing this last weekend. (She lives in Timperley now). She used to work in the George. Is it still open?

Does sams still have strippers?

haha they didnt the last time i went in there!

my brother sups there every week before the match..cheap ale, smelly old pisscans, fat slag bar staff....top pub.

chorley used to be a top night when i was in my youth-youth...what was that club jumpin jacks or summet?

It's years since I went in to be fair

Apeoplee jacks is the club. Thats always been shit but a least it used to be full. No idea if anyone goes now.

As above, wetherspoons, prince, one across from prince (can't mremenber name), white bull ( I think) and the once near the Hyatt (again name escapes me) are the only pubs of go near.

I noticed the tut has just reopened and the swan is probably still going.

The rest are full of cocks and 10 year olds

There used to be a black boy sat on the front of that place above the door, have they covered him up?

Knowing Chorley they probably burnt the fucker.

So if they'd still lost intentionally but been less blatant about it then that would've been okay?

As I said in an earlier post, I think morally what they did was wrong ... BUT ... if people/teams are going to be kicked out of competitions based on morals then they're making a rod for their own back.

The problem was both teams (in both affected matches) were playing to lose. If it was only one it would not have been an issue - "oh well, they were already qualified and couldn't get into the game... ".

But the Chinese wanted a path to the final avoiding their second pair, and the South Koreans wanted to get what they saw as an easier qf.

Don't know how the Indonesia v SKorea match went, but presumably again both pairs saw a loss as the better result.

With this format, the game should have been declared void and a toss of a coin should have decided the winners. Balloon benders should have then been brought in to entertain the crowd. Or strippers.

rose and crown is good, spoons tries to make itself out to be more of a lloyds bar at night charging to get in and refusing anyone in trainers etc after 8pm on Fri / Sat.

All in all its lost a load of decent bars / pubs from back in the day.
