DazBob Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Is it any worse than footballers getting intentional yellow cards to ensure a ban comes at a convenient time? IMO it's no worse than being 1-1 in a game and having a great chance of scoring, but choosing instead to take it to the corner flag to waste time knowing a draw is good enough. Quote
little whitt Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) didn't know you could pick up medals for sucking footballer's cock 15 gold's do you think he will be on the phone to CASH MY GOLD Edited August 1, 2012 by little whitt Quote

No, the football parallel is everyone sitting in the corner whilst they got beat 50-0. The longest rally was 4 shots - they were intentionally hitting it out constantly and not moving to try and hit if it was more than a step away. Fuck em. Quote

So if they'd still lost intentionally but been less blatant about it then that would've been okay? As I said in an earlier post, I think morally what they did was wrong ... BUT ... if people/teams are going to be kicked out of competitions based on morals then they're making a rod for their own back. Edited August 1, 2012 by DazBobParr Quote

They were disqualified for being too thick to hide what they were up to. It's an insult to the people paying to be there and I'm glad the sneaky bastards have been punished for it. It did amuse me as to how naive they were Fuckin ell Mourinho (with hand over mouth) conveys instructions via substitutes to his players to get intentionally booked and he got found out. WTF did these 8 players expect. Quote
Whites man Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I think they acted like thrusters but throwing them out is a media driven knee jerk over reaction. Quote

birch-chorley Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I am with Maaarsh In football you often get teams playing for a draw or not to lose, I cannot ever remember a team wanting to lose and playing that way. These Twats where deliberatly trying to lose and have been rightly fucked off home. Imagine in football if two teams wanted to lose and both smashed in own goals every time they got the ball, it would be pathetic. Quote
Didledee Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) So if they won they'd have had tougher games in the next rounds? Edited August 1, 2012 by Didledee Quote

Didledee Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) yes so they tried to lose I can see both sides of the argument then, I remember Beckham getting a yellow card on purpose for England to get a suspension because he knew he would be injured for the next game anyway. they obviously did it to get an 'easier' chance of progressing, though I can see why losing on purpose is frowned upon. birch-chorley Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 trying to get a yellow card and trying to lose a game are a million miles apart I do not remember any game where folk tried to lose on purpose (bent match fixing aside) Quote
