Eddie Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Lack of concentration or Coyles inspiring team talks? I've honestly no idea what the reason is, or whether there is a reason at all. Some would say that it surely can't be Coyles fault that we give a penalty away just after half time, but just from the volume of goals we concede in the 10 or so minutes after half time, there has to be more to it than just coincidence. Its easy to switch off at half time, I only play sunday league football but even from that I know personally that it can take me 5 or so minutes to get switched on again after half time, not sure why but I've noticed it a few times. Its got to be the managers/coaches responsibility to not only get their points across at half time but also to keep players switched on and ready to get straight into the game from the whistle. Looking at our record of conceding goals in this time, for me it suggests that ours just don't do that. Edited October 2, 2012 by Eddie Quote

MalcolmW Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) 17th in the league after a fifth of the season. Not good enough. At least we've moved up a place to 17th - but a point or more for Forest tomorrow will see us back to 18th. Note that if Millwall win by 2 on Saturday they will be out of the bottom 3 and above Bolton. JSL Edited October 2, 2012 by MalcolmW Quote

no balls Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 He was a top player once. Who? Coyle. He wasn't but he did put his best effort in. Nothing's changed, hes still a nice bloke, but not good enough. If we go with the same criteria, how about Fabian DeFreitas? Quote
Winchester White Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I really like Owen Coyle, I really really do. But there does come a time to call it a day; accept the inevitable and just move on. Quote

Didledee Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Lee was out with an injury, been disgraced by his own team mates with making him play in this league, Barca can afford to bench a player like David Villa after a lengthy injury, but we can't, he was average in his few games starting but you don't drop your best player, Eagles is our best player atm, form wise but Lee and Holden are our best. Bring him in and Petrov, but a decent manager may do that. Tell our players that if they give away any more penalties they get a very massive fine!! Edited October 2, 2012 by Didledee Quote
