January 10, 20251 yr Got sent 2 speeding tickets from August the day before Xmas eve. Got clocked back home for doing 70 on a motorway when the lights had just flashed up for 60, and then 4 minutes later taking the slip road for the M6. Any GMP won't let me be take a speed awareness course because they don't have the places.

January 10, 20251 yr Got a bus lane fine which came in at £130, reduced to £65 if paid in short order. Got my first ever speeding ticket towards the end of last year. Managed to get on the speed awareness thing to avoid the points, but was booked up a few months in advance. I’m submitting a full report to LH Whites (Enforcements) Limited before the end of the day.

On the 18th of November I cockerly used the bus lanes, and laughed at all the motorist not using them, on Derby St and St Helens Rd while on my way to Athy. It was only when I came back that I realised I had fucked up. I thought the actual time was after the 4-7 times you are not allowed to use them. I was in them at 6:30pm. I realised my mistake on the way back. I also clocked they had enforcement cameras monitoring the lanes. Anyway up to today I have not had anything through the post. I'm still expecting something but for every day that goes by I'm thinking, hmmm I may not. I'd imagine they don't work anymore either through going off too many times, or the amount of people driving in them, parking in between them just causing a nuisance. People have twigged that you can park away from a camera and use it as a second parking bay with little repercussions.

I'd certainly question that

January 10, 20251 yr It appears so! I have a hard time member 6 months ago, nevermind 12 years. So 2025 has so far brought £200 is speeding fines and £249 for new wheel bearings so far. I bloody hate cars.

January 10, 20251 yr Probably already posted on here, and the Gestapo will be on it… I did the speed awareness course not long after I passed 🙈 aged 37! It clashed with Liverpool v Barca in Champions League… I took great delight in asking as many questions and dithering for as long as I could; much to the dismay of the cluster of scousers in the room 😂 Never seen a car park empty so quick
January 10, 20251 yr I got done by a van about 10 years ago doing 56 in a 50 on my way to work. Paid £100 for the Speed Awareness Course, then completely forgot about it, so had to pay a further £100 fine and take 3 points anyway. 🤦♂️

I have a 'mate' who may have done a couple of road speed awareness ones and also a motorway one with a gap between the 2 speed ones of longer than 3 years by a week or two. Pretty sure the motorway one was not long after the first road one. So he said
