gonzo Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Dare I say He was never even that good in the first place. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Is it bollocks He's not even our first choice right winger He's a saleable asset And he's been playing poorly post a pretty bad injury We could use the money elsewhere where it's needed I'd guess he's on decent wages too Clueless? Nope, pragmatic Sorry gonzo your way off the mark if you believe he's worth that, players like Mark Davies and LCY don't grow on trees and they are the right age, its all about opinions and on this one cannot disagree more strongly. I was only winding you up mate... Fantastic player, but his injury it seems has hit him hard. This tied in with making his debut in a league where you get less time on the ball and need loads more aggression, hes simply not been at the races this season. Wether he gets back to the form he was in 2 years ago remains to be seen, but if we can get a decent price for him before his form declines even more, then it makes sense. Its a gamble whatever happens... Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Ok let's say we want to give our Dougie a nice kitty for Jan £5m for sordell and chungy or £7m for mavies I'd take the former Quote
Traf Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Beggars belief some folk wanting to sell LCY for 2-3 million, clueless beyond my comprehension. G, I don't think folk are saying they'd be happy with that deal, I think they're saying the club would be, though. That's where I'm at. Quote
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted December 21, 2012 Site Supporter Posted December 21, 2012 I like chungy but accept he's not back to his best yet - but I still wouldn't let him go for less than £4m and include some other clause like an extra few quid based on appearances. We are skint, outside the prem and by no means certainties to go back up so all our players are up for sale if a decent offer comes in but I would rather boost our transfer pot by getting shut of a few fringe players Quote

Moderators Casino Posted December 21, 2012 Moderators Posted December 21, 2012 exactly we aint getting a fee for 'fringe players' Quote
tarian1979 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Be takers galore for Pratley surely not Quote
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted December 21, 2012 Site Supporter Posted December 21, 2012 I'm sure someone would take a punt on both Pratley and Sordell - granted we'd lose money on Sordell but get shut and save the wages if we can. I also think someone would take a punt on Petrov if we gave him away. Granted, the incoming transfer fees wouldnt be great but BSA proved you can swallow up a transfer budget on wages alone Quote
Moderators Casino Posted December 21, 2012 Moderators Posted December 21, 2012 I'm sure someone would take a punt on both Pratley and Sordell can't see pratley going to the prem sordell either so, its championship how many clubs do you think can pay the wages we pay? Quote
Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted December 21, 2012 Site Supporter Posted December 21, 2012 Sordell would drop wages to go back to London so that might not be too hard. Pratley would be tougher, i'm guessing he's on decent wedge given he came on a free - send him to the chicken botherers Quote

Site Supporter HomerJay Posted December 21, 2012 Site Supporter Posted December 21, 2012 Pratley has been successful at this level before No reason why he can't do it again Quote
Site Supporter Ratwhite Posted December 22, 2012 Author Site Supporter Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) Pratley has been successful at this level before No reason why he can't do it again Zactly. Was part of the Swansea side that went up. Think the half season Rodgers had him sat on the bench after he wouldn't sign new deal fucked him up. Never really had a run of games to get going since. You don't become a bad player over night. It takes a run of games to prove you are shit / good Unless your initials are TM Edited December 22, 2012 by Ratwhite Quote
