DF has set his stall out to play in a certain way and we keep getting told these players are plenty good enough well surely they can let a league one team have the ball in their half and then press them as they get higher up the pitch?! It's fuck all to do with the manager IMO it's about application these players have been shit under 2 of our managers some 3 it's about application time and time and time again - 3 goals in first 5 of both halves freedman needs time we very much at rip it up and start again time with the squad judge him after at least 2 transfer windows I get the feeling he's biting his lip as he needs players in short term I think he can't wait to say I need to ship half of this shower before can move fwd

The way Knight didn't react at all on the first goal, you,ve got to question if he realized the game had started. Surely DF can find better defenders in January than Mears and Knight.

I'm not usually one for seeing a shite display and deciding that all our youth are the answer but I completely agree with this.

 

It can't get much worse than it is at the moment, especially at the back. Without writing the season off completely because there is still a long way to go, IMO we should be using the 2nd half of the season to try a few things in preparation for next season because like ex-midlandwhite says, we literally have nothing to lose anymore.

 

We can all see that Mears is shite, (he was ok against Charlton but I could have played against that winger) so why not put Riley in there, at least for a few games and see how he goes on, he couldn't be much worse than what we're seeing at the moment and I'm certain that he would at least show a lot more effort.

 

If he's not up to it then we stick Mears back in and look to get someone in summer, if he puts in a few decent performances then he could make the position his own and its at least one position that Dougie wouldn't have to worry too much about in summer.

 

Before anyone says that I'm just picking on the usual suspect of Mears it is purely because Riley is the closest youth prospect to the 1st team, I would happily chuck most of that shower of shite out of the team if we had a decent enough prospect in the youth after watching that shit yesterday. Replacing a few of the "big names" with some lesser known youth players might just knock their fucking huge ego's down a bit.
