Peterborough 5 Bolton Wanderers 4

LONDON CALLING,well London Road to be precise and a lads retro day outing, standing on the terraces, low roof for excellent accoustics, jovial Christmas atmosphere and more pisspots present than a Burns night bash. one or two females present but they don't manage to spoil the party

Confidence is rising in players and fans alike, peterborough won't fancy this even though they walloped the taffs.

1,500 loyal and totally smashed travelling fans, give superb support to the Whites as they hammer the Posh 3-0,and break into the top 10

The classic chant of ''jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,,,,oh what fun it is to see the Wanderers win away'' deafens Dids and Big Sharps listening on Tower FM.

The even older and more classic chant of ''the whites are going up'' is heard for the first time in over a decade. Grown men get all nostalgic, cry and hug each other

Dougie the little tinkerman surprises us all by fielding an unchanged team, injuries permitting.Butterfield opens his account,Lee and Ngog. I don't give a shit who scores for them as long as we wallop em

That he still doesn't know his best eleven yet says a lot.

I'm trying to think of some positives from an away game where you score 4 and lose.

The one good thing about today is I finally met a genuine WW legend in the form of Jazza :drinks:

Plus I have £220 more than I started with

To anyone sensible who was there today.......Did the conditions affect the game much ?

I know they were the same for both sides, but being 2 down after 6 minutes is going to put any team on the back foot.

, especially if the state of the pitch had something to do with it.

Satan... You are the legend. Your

Peterborough worked out straight away that if they ran at us the conditions made it hard for anyone to get a tackle in without fouling or staying on their feet, this made our defence look really inept. We finally worked it out when sordell and afobe came on and later petrov as they started to run at their defence, it made is look slightly better than inept, too little too late though.

Does anyone know about Ngog's absence yet?

Home and away?

Malcolm?

Ahh right.....It sounds like the conditions did affect the game, but that P/boro adapted to them much better than we did.

That and the fact we were shit

Asked my old man - he reckons we lost 5-4 away at West Brom early 60's

West Brom away was 4-4 as was Crewe before that...in recent times..

Cant ever remember a 5-4 or more...

West Brom 5 Whites 4 62/63.

Those who went witnessed a bit of history then.

We're still utterly shit though

Ziggys Dad and LW...

Tis correct..

Franny Lee also scored 2 pens that day....Wyn Davies got the other.

5-4 home to Sheff Weds back in 1957. Omen for Boxing Day ? Mind you, Lofty got two and the whole current team put together woulldn't equal him.

November 1969, 6-4 home to QPR.

Think I wasn't at either.

Wrong tactics in first half tried to pass as per the Charlton game when the ball would hardly roll

Just got back after dropping off Pink Cheshire and Hillbilly - they are off back to Hillbilly country for a ruby murray

All this talk of conditions effecting the game is garbage; we were just dogshit and especially Warnock, Knight and Mears - Andrews was attrocious first half but improved a lot second and had a decent game just based on the second. The rest of the midfleld were dogshit all the game. Afobe looked dangerous when he came on but against a crap defence and I though SKD did as much as you could expect.

Really cant see us geting near the play offs with this bunch of gutless tossers; just need to ensure we dont get involved at the other end

one of many numerous disapointments this season. No point dwelling on it. let's just just forget this shite game and move on to Wednesday.

I am not a freedman

I'm afraid he's not for us

First time I've seen a 5-4, but it was only spasmodically a thrilller
