First half they were snapping around us. 2 nd half they couldn't maintain it. Looking at chances we could have scored a lot more when upped the urgency and tempo Quote
Big E Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I aint convinced one bit, and his philosphy doesn't inspire me to be so. He got lucky today, why does it take the side to go a goal down for Freedman to make a sub. The good thing here though is we could win the league and you, jay and a few others would still find fault. My first game of 2013 next week and I am excited so lets get behind them Quote

HomerJay Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Maybe just, maybe he actually knows more than the rest of us. In terms of football and individual personnel. Not even worth the fuckin argument Quote

Are you this negative about the club all the time because the club shop refused to sell your book?? Quote
mannyroad58 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 2 subs come on and both score and we win 2-1 from being 1-0 down so give DF a break you never know he might just might know what the fuck he's doing, if that was Fergie or Jose making those decisions they would be hailed as master strokes Quote

smithills_gent Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Maybe just, maybe he actually knows more than the rest of us. In terms of football and individual personnel. It's what he knows compared to other managers that's more relevant. If he knows more than Mick McCarthy, Dave Jones and Darren Ferguson why lose to them? If he doesn't know as much as them what's he doing here? Quote

Ani Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 His philosophy is to keep things tight and win the game in last fifteen mins. Bogdan did not make a save today. We conceded a very soft goal from a corner. Sordell had no support today and think the booing was because people wanted too see him with someone else up front. Think people were amazed eagles stayed on but that has been explained now. DF is meant to be negative but he bought three centre forwards on. Quote
Estupendo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 That had been explained now? Kerr Ching! So DF might be better off with a megaphone explaining his subs then as they happen. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 The boos were because he didn't take eagles off who was at his puffy worst thought sunbed made a good point on radio on way home - said eagles would never show his bravery tackling and being physical but by continuing to try to take players and shots on - fair point but I think he needs a rest que mark davies Quote

Guest Blixa Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 He only makes substitutions when we go a goal behind, good fucking job burnley scored as early as they did. Like against Everton in the cup? Mind you, why let facts get in the way of a post on here. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Freedman is wrong club, wrong time. I would say the complete opposite of this. We needed a new broom, willing to work with limited finances and to bring on a promising youth set up. That's not Mick McCarthy. Quote

If he doesn't know as much as them what's he doing here? This is one of the worst examples of intellectual ineptitude I have seen on here. By this rationale, Gary Megson is a better manager and 'knows more' (whatever that means) than Alex Ferguson. This was proven when we beat Man Utd at home. Quote
kent_white Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Agree with this entirely. Me too. It's called having a brain, being able to think long term and understanding the meaning of the words, deferred gratification. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Get off Dougie's back- just watched the highlights and there was a point at which he was smiling on the sidelines- seems very level headed and cinfident in what he's doing. Don't think he really expected to get us up once he'd got to know the players- it will take time. As for Megson- just finished reading Fabrice's book- and the guy should have been sacked long ago, if not twatted by the team. Quote
